This remodeled miners cabin built in the early 1900's is a lovely getaway for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers. The cabin is charming and comfortable, but you can enjoy the whole farm! This 40 acre Organic farm backed up to BLM offers great hiking, BBQing and plain old relaxing in the beautiful Evans Valley outside Rogue River, OR.
This was the first building built on this property in the early 1900's. It was originally a 10'x20' cabin built for and used by the miners with no bedroom or bathroom and a simple wood stove, it was built with rough cut lumber milled from our woods. We fell in love with it's history and charm and decided to remodel it and breath some life back into the space that founded our farm.
The Farming Fish ((URL HIDDEN) is a family farm situated on 40 Certified Organic acres in the beautiful Evans Valley near Rogue River, Oregon. 30 acres is wooded land with wild mushrooms, berries, lemon balm, ferns, miners lettuce and other native edibles with abundant hiking access to BLM land. The pastures compliment vegetable row crops, a small orchard and Aquaponic production of Tilapia fish, as well as a variety of leafy greens and herbs. The living space, kitchen and breakfast nook are one open space with abundant light. The couch is also a pull out twin bed for a third person. There is a ladder on a pulley that drops down from the ceiling that leads up to the bedroom. It has a lovely little wood stove and also electric heat. The bathroom is my favorite addition to the cabin, it's spacious with a clawfoot soaking tub, a shower and windows overlooking the farm and orchard. The bedroom was also added to the cabin, there is a ladder on a pulley that drops down from the ceiling in the main living space that leads up to the bedroom. It is simple and comfortable bedroom, has a full size bed, windows on all sides overlooking the farm and leads up to a rooftop deck! So bring your telescope if you have one, the stargazing is amazing in this quite country getaway and the rooftop deck is a picturesque place to use it.
There is also a patio with a hot tub at the main house. You are welcome to use the hot tub during your stay as well.
The cabin, rooftop patio, and multiple picknic areas are open to you always as well as the hot tub at the main house. We can arrange a greenhouse tour upon request, so the greenhouses and cropping areas are only accessible with a guide and/or permission.

The place is about 15 minute drive to Rogue River, (7 minutes to nearest small market convenient stop) so I suggest a stop at the grocery if you plan on making meals and utilizing all the sweet picnic and dining areas on the property during your stay.
Please have fun, be safe and don't wreck the place.
Don't heckle the farm animals, enjoy yourself and the beauty of the farm!
Please do your dishes :)) and Just before you leave strip the beds you use and leave the sheets in a pile on the bed.
