I had the most amazing stay at Mimi's cottage. Some highlights: - The photos make the interior look so cute and cozy, and the reality is even better than the photos - Excellent lighting, fast internet, and (most importantly since it's August) the A/C kept us cool and comfortable - Mimi left a binder full of recommendations of fun things to do nearby, and the kitchen was stocked with coffee, tea, and wine :) - Prime location for exploring the French Quarter - walking distance to everything, but quiet at night Next time I visit NOLA, I will definitely try to stay at Mimi's!

Nice location - just out of the Marigny Triangle area, close to great night life spot on Frenchman street. Check in and out easy.

The place was fantastic. Great location, beautiful, and very clean. Definitely a hidden gem. Mimi was a great host, very quick to respond and very helpful. It's clear she put a lot of thought in the decoration and the comfort for her guests, and it definitely shows

Great place near French Quarter! Inside is as photographed and the decor was super cute. Mimi was nice enough to accommodate a noon time check out. Would stay again!

Our magical time at Mimi's was too short, but super sweet. Mimi was in communication with us leading up to, and during, our stay to provide recommendations and ensure we had everything we needed. While the little courtyard hideaway is in the perfect location and makes a great base for adventures, we also found it very hard to tear ourselves away from simply enjoying the relaxing vibes and peaceful surroundings. After the hustle and bustle of New York and Chicago, New Orleans felt like a holiday within a holiday! The cottage exceeded all expectations - cosy, clean and comfortable with more than enough room for the two of us. Mimi was a very considerate and generous host, and her attention to detail combined with the personal touches instantly make you feel at home! Thanks again Mimi and we hope to visit again sometime :)

We were five adults who stayed in two of Mimi's cottages for three nights. We had one of the two street-facing cottages and the smaller hideaway cottage in the back courtyard. The cottages were lovely and very stylishly decorated. The air conditioner kept things nice and cool inside (even in the upstairs loft beds) considering how warm and humid it was outside during our stay. Both cottages were quiet at night and even during a mid-day nap. We loved the location as we did not want to stay in the French Quarter. It was close enough to main attractions, but yet quietly tucked away in a residential area that also happened to be about a block away from the meeting point for our bike tour. A couple of things I would just note though are that the shower stall in the hideaway cottage was fairly small, you have to be careful on the steps leading up to the loft beds because they are more like climbing a ladder than stairs, and that there is limited head space in the loft bed areas because the ceilings are really low up there. These were not issues for anyone in our group at all, and the lofts would be a lot of fun for kids, but the loft beds wouldn't be ideal for older folk or those with limited mobility. The check in and check out procedures were simple because the locks on the doors are coded and you do not need a key or have to time someone meeting you to check you in our out. Mimi was great about texting periodically, so we knew she was available to us if we needed her, though we didn't because everything was just fine. Because she didn't have anyone checking in to one of the cottages the same day we were leaving, she was gracious enough to allow us a late checkout since our flight wasn't until early evening. We had a great time in New Orleans and wouldn't hesitate to stay in Mimi's cottages on a return trip or recommend them to other travelers.

I'm a writer, mother and dedicated airbnb host. As a guest, I'm quiet and low-impact, and as a host, I try to make sure you have a comfy, delightful stay from beginning to end. Decorating is a passion! I also love travel, great fiction, architecture, music and food. I love classic, pull-out-the-stops New Orleans cuisine but also its opposite: right now I'm obsessed with the vegetarian recipes of the wildly talented Anna Jones. I've lived in Manhattan, Providence, San Francisco, Boston and Durango, but I was born and raised in New Orleans and ultimately came home to stay.
