This is a great place to stay and right near the entrance to Glacier! Great people to work with and would come back and stay again!

I personally liked the small size for the three of us because it made the teen communicate with us. But, just be aware that it is small and thus there will be no privacy.

We had a great time during our stay here. Everything was really clean and worked as expected. Kitchen was fully stocked (minus a small baking pan for the little oven). Good location near the west entrance to the park and right off the main road. The host was accommodating and checked us in later in the evening than the 9 o'clock it says on the ad (like 10:30). They had a community campfire and volleyball game every night that looked fun, but we were always out and about so we never went over. The RV has all the hookups so your kitchen (including fridge/freezer), bathroom, shower, AC/heat all work just fine. It has an awning with a picnic table outside which is nice, but you won't have your own fire pit. There is also a space to set up a 2-4 man tent outside, but there is an extra $30 or so fee per night. You don't need to bring much, just your belongings and food. They have clean bedding, towels, matches to light the stove/oven, plates, bowls, cups, utensils, paper towels, trash bags, sponge/soap. I would recommend a sleeping pad for the bed if you're particular about that sort of thing, I thought the mattress was very springy and by our fifth night I was ready to be home, my wife on the other hand was totally fine and slept great - so it's personal preference there. Also, there is a local grocery store where you can fill up on essentials, prices aren't too bad but the selection is fairly limited (about six relatively short aisles) so bring up any special for items if you can. If you've never stayed in an RV before you would be fine, but familiarize yourself with how to empty your black and gray water and how to light the stove and oven pilot light properly (FYI, the pilot light is way in the back and you need to let it catch for about 30-45 seconds before turning it to the temperature you want). It's all very simple but it's not quite a hotel where you don't have to think about anything like that. If you do have any questions, make sure to ask them before you finalize your booking! The only (slightly) negative thing about the experience was that Catherine was very responsive to my questions right up until I booked, then I had to email and text several times to get answers to a few final questions so we wound up having to do some of our trip preparations last minute because we didn't have those answers. No big deal, but just be aware of that. Also the price seemed a little high, we paid $150/night but that was 4th of July weekend so I would expect it would be cheaper at other times. I felt good about $150 on that weekend, but any other weekend or if it were the shoulder season I would have felt like it was a bit...

Greg- once again, thank you for the immaculate condition you left the Mallard in- what a refreshing change! Sorry about the communication issue- once we let you know we do not have text capability due to a dedicated land line, things went smooth. Glad you enjoyed it.

I am a farm girl at heart. I grew up on a ranch doing 4-H work. I like the outdoors and cooking. I am told that I make fantastic pies and cinnamon rolls. I also serve a FULL breakfast! I believe in feeding you well before hiking in Glacier National Park.
