Welcome to The Elk Lodge. This is our guest house and we are excited you are here. Quiet and relaxing, this property is very special. We have our own horses, chickens, ducks, cats/kittens and a goat named Caroline. Caroline will generally greet you when you arrive or knock on your door if you are home. She is friendly and thinks small children are for head butting. We also have 3 ponds that our ducks welcome wild geese and other birds to frolic and play. We have an occasional bear and we will surely warn you if they are visiting. We also have deer, elk and moose. We have seen wolves in our pastures and that is a rare sighting. We can set up our bon fire for you if we are home and you are most welcome to join us if we are roasting marshmallows. During winter months, we have space in the entry for your ski's and boots, gear and helmets. Snowshoeing is available. Please be safe on the snow and ice. It gets very slippery. We want you to enjoy our little corner of the world, of which we are most grateful, and don't forget to check out the stars in the sky!

My late husband and I moved to Jackson Hole, Wyoming 26 years ago and fell in love with it. He was a veterinarian, so animals have always had a big part in our lives. I can't imagine a better place to raise our 7 daughters, and our little ranch became known as The 7 Sisters Ranch.
I've remarried, and my new husband brought six children of his own including two more daughters to go with 4 boys. The 7 Sisters Ranch is now the 9 sisters and 4 brothers ranch even though the 7 Sisters name has stuck.
At any given time we've got 6-10 horses, 3-5 steers, a dozen chickens,a goat, and a bunch of barn cats that make sure we don't have any mice problems. The pond outside the master bedroom window is home to our pet ducks who start quacking away each morning when they hear my husband and I start talking. I can't help but smile.
As a family, we regularly enjoy all there is to offer here in this beautiful valley. Our small ranch is bordered on one side by the Snake River and on two sides by national forest. Literally from our back yard we go hiking, horseback riding, fishing, white water rafting, sledding, hunting, wildlife watching and take amazing photography . Within minutes we are skiing at the top ski resort in the country. Yellowstone National Park, Grand Teton National Park, world class whitewater, fishing, snowmobiling are all right here... And we do it all.
With 13 children (most of them married or in college) spread over 3 states, and 5 grand children, there's never a dull moment.
