A newly-constructed building in the heart of Capitol Hill's historic district. Great restaurants, the US Capitol Building, Metro, museums, and grocery stores are all walking distance. An original 1900 carriage house was transformed into a modern building with large island kitchen, roof deck, washer/dryer, and other modern amenities -- all in a quiet alley. This location is great for couples, business travelers, or small families. It is only available occasionally, so grab it while it's open!
Eleven blocks from the Capitol Building, the modern re-purposed building was designed by a local architect and completed in June, 2017. This is a new gem in an historic neighborhood.
Unit A is a first floor one bedroom/one bath apartment. A queen size bed is in the bedroom. The living room couch opens to a full size bed.
The full kitchen provides ample counter space and seating for four at the island. An additional dining table has room for four people.
The comfortable living room area boasts a large TV with internet access and Wii.
Guests have access to the shared roof terrace. There is a couch and chairs on the roof as well as a table for meals.
We can make any number of arrangements.

We live in the neighborhood and will be available if you need us. We are happy to provide restaurant suggestions, directions, names of babysitters, and general advice on activities in the neighborhood. We love living on Capitol Hill and are eager to share it with guests.

Visitors who stay with us at Walker Court agree that their stay is the commercial equivalent of an accommodation in a hotel. Unit A remains Owner’s property and in Owner’s possession and control. Visitors create no tenancy interest, leasehold estate or other real property interest with respect to the accommodation and shall not be deemed or construed in any way to create a partnership or relationship of landlord and tenant between the parties. A visitor cannot transfer their stay or assigned it to any other party, unless written request of such assignment is submitted to the Owners and the Owners agree to such assignment, which will be at Owners sole discretion, and visitors will not permit occupancy or use of any part of the building by any persons other than their supervised guests.
Children are welcome (we have three!) but must be supervised in the alley, on the roof-deck, and in stairway area at all times.

We've lived on the block 16 years and will be happy to give you tips on the neighborhood. You will love our neighborhood and great neighbors. We'll provide ideas and destinations that are "off the tourist map" so you can live like a local during your stay. This is a close knit community and a residential area. Loud/large parties are not permitted, but feel free to have a few folks over for dinner and enjoy the roof-deck as if you lived here full time.
