This private guest house is located proximate to the Design District. It has a queen-sized bed, bathroom, kitchenette, wifi, cable television with Netflix and Amazon Prime, and wireless bluetooth speaker. Breakfast is not offered, but the kitchenette is equipped with everything needed to prepare breakfast or one can walk to the acclaimed Buena Vista Deli (featured in The New York Times 36 Hours in Miami and Miami Beach) on the corner for a French breakfast.
The one-bedroom, one-bathroom guest house is freshly renovated to restore its historic fabric and create privacy. The kitchenette contains a sink, refrigerator and freezer drawers, microwave/convection oven, and induction cooktop, and guests can enjoy meals and snacks or work on their laptops at the bistro table on the patio. On the walls, hangs art from well known local artists Jason Hedges and Clifton Childree. From the bed, guests have a view of the garden and the coral wall. The private patio is equipped with bistro table, deck chairs and hammock and yard access where guests can pick seasonal fruits and vegetables. The yard is certified by the Univ. of Florida's Florida Wildlife Extension as a Florida Backyard Wildlife Habitat. Terminix provides mosquito control services to the yard. Guests park their cars unobstructed on the driveway for free.
Guest house access is its own separate entrance and path with private parking. In the bathroom, guests will find towels, hair dryer, shampoo and body wash. Beach towels for guest use are kept in a drawer under the bed. The kitchenette is fully equipped for preparing meals. Complimentary bottled water and coffee are included. The guest house's patio is setup to eat or work on a laptop at the bistro table or to relax in the deck chairs or hammock. After returning from the beach, the guest house has an outdoor clothesline to dry swimsuits and beach towels and guests may use the property's outdoor shower.

I enjoy my memberships in all of the local independent cinemas (Tower Theater, Coral Gables Art Cinema, and O Cinema) and being a Miami Film Festival Aficionado. For exercise, I train and swim at Equinox Brickell in the Four Seasons; do pilates at Pilates Miami Shores, and take classes in Miami City Ballet's Community Division. My favorite South Florida food spots are: Buena Vista Deli for its chocolate almond croissant; Panther Coffee to buy coffee beans; Proper Sausage to buy meat and poultry; Garcia's for its grilled fish sandwiches; Xixon for its Spanish food; Romanicos for its chocolate; Zak the Baker for its hummus on Fridays; and Little River Cooperative's produce stand at the Upper Eastside Market on Saturdays. I also enjoy seeing the exhibitions at Institute of Contemporary Art, Miami (ICA), Perez Art Museum (PAMM), and Locust Projects, the contemporary visual arts exhibition space in Miami's Design District on which I serve on the Board.
