I enjoyed staying at Diana’s Airbnb. It was easy to find, readily accessible by public transportation, and in the western end of Montreal, which is where I needed to stay. Diana was not there, but her brother was, and he graciously met me as I got off the bus, and showed me around.
The place is quiet and lovely, a nice residential feel with plenty of space. The bed is comfortable, everything works in the bathroom (the bumpy towels were terrific), the living room is roomy, and the kitchen has almost everything I needed (except a kettle to boil water for tea – but there is a pot that I used). As a terrific extra, there’s a beautiful park right across the street. The neighbourhood feels safe, with a smattering of restaurants, lots of low-rise apartment buildings, lots of trees, traffic moves at a residential speed, and generally good.
Wishes – a kettle, paper towel, teaspoons or dessertspoons, wifi (although had I read the listing more carefully I would’ve known that there was no wifi), and a TV remote that was a little more efficient (the one there requires a heavy press to change channels or volume).
That said, it really is a lovely place, and I would definitely consider staying there again.
