Living in the city center, submerged in nature. It's not only a room, but a friends house with shared kitchen, living, verandas. Amazing sunsets, natural wildness around the house, direct sea access in a peaceful, small low-income neighborhood.
Our house is dedicated to the research of Buen Vivir - good living for everybody. That means respect for nature, people, spirituality, arts… and a lot of activism and critical understanding of the world.
We live simply, recycle what we can, have some permaculture (you're invited to join us), take care of our pets, the wildness around us and people & kids who needs us.
We share amazing sunsets, natural wildness around the house, cozy cats and wild birds as well as direct sea access.
We love great company, play music, dance, discuss, have poetry sessions and lectures. We speak different languages and don't care about social, racial and gender prejudices.…
We are not dogmatic, and open to the new.
Sometimes, we organize little events, sometimes, we offer workshops or language classes. Sometimes, we just relax. Or work. Or stay on our own.
Living in our house means being independent, but taking care of the house, the plants, the pets and the people, respecting the neighbors and housemates. It means being able to listen to the silence of nature, enjoy the click clack of the waves, the shiussszzzzuuu of the bambuu and the scream of the white owl.
We build our stuff as far as we can - and for the rest, we work together with the boys and men from our neighborhood.
In the morning, we often go for a swim or a snorkle just in front of our house or go working in the garden. Soon, my blog about my sacred plants will be online.
Our neighborhood is very simple, partly bohemian, mostly working class… not dangerous at all, as we know everybody - we are only 200 inhabitants…
people is not interested in being fotografed or interviewed, but preferes to check you a boat trip, go for a swim or share a beer. Most of the interesting people comes to our house…
And we buy ready made traditional food with our neighbors - Neite is offering Pizza and different fresh made dishes.
Our favorite Bar is Cantinho da Joe, right in the entrance of the community. She offers delicious carne de sol, peixe frito or other freshly made, simple dishes and has a nice terrace.
Our beer comes from the 2 women - led bars of the community, Maria do Carmo and Gilda. Gilda also offers fresh bred, cakes, small pizzas and all what you might need at home…
Most of all, we enjoy living in the center of Salvador, being in walking distance to most of the spots in Barra, Vitória, Campo Grande, Garcia…
In bus or by citybike, Pelourinho is about 15-20 minutes far, Rio Vermelho also.
You will be living with us… the house is yours. You can use anything, stay on the verandas or take care of the frontgarden and the back yard garden.
We expect you to clean together with everybody else, we have no cleaning personal.
Of course, you have to respect the privacy of your housemates. There are many different places to be… anyone has his privacy.
Общение с гостями
