Small traditional Japanese room with tatami mattress (2m x 4m) with great view of sea channel for up to 3 people. It is air-conditioned. Showers and kitchen are in a separate building. The room is facing east, so you can see a great sunrise. It may be small for well-built people.
Miharashi-tei was built in 1921 as a villa, so it is very traditional. It is renovated in 2016. Guests will sleep in futon on the floor in a room with tatami mattress. It is an old traditional house, so guests may hear people talking downstairs (where the common shared space is) until midnight.
Guests can use cafe space, shared kitchen and shower rooms.

Другие важные подробности
Miharashi-te is a guest house, not a regular Japanese style inn or business hotel.
In order to keep the cost low, we have only limited amenity, no TV or DVD/Blu-ray player. We are located on a hillside. Traveling lightly is recommended. Please see the directions for more details.
Minimum amenity provided to keep the price low. Please bring your own bath towels (you can rent one for 200 yen if you need). Communal kithcen and shower rooms are located in a separate building, which is about 2 meter (6 feet) away (meaning, you need to go outside).
We have a cafe, but it does't serve full meals. Guests are welcome to bring their own food/beverages in the cafe space.
Since it is a traditional room in an old building, walls are relatively thin. You may hear neighbour and people talking in downstairs from time to time. If you require complete silence during the night, this room may not be a good fit for you. While it can accomodate up-to 3 people, if your party has 3 well built people, the room may be too small.
In late Spring and Summer, given that we are located on a hillside, we have lots of mosquitos and other bugs, we have mosquito repellent in each room, but it is impossible to get rid of them all. You may want to bring your own bug spray.

Hi I am Hideo. I lived in Seattle WA USA for 22+ years, but loved Onomichi so much, so I visited there every year since 2009. Now I am living in Onomichi. Onomichi is where the Shimanami Kaido starts on the main island. So it is a popular cyclist city.
I love music, movies, and art in general. I also like to discuss just about anything and learn from others.
