Другие важные подробности
Miharashi-te is a guest house, not a regular Japanese style inn or business hotel. As other guests left in the review, this is an old traditional house, so the walls are thin. You may hear other guests talking or walking by your room. If you need a quiet room, this room may not be a good fit for you.
In order to keep the cost low, we have only limited amenity, no TV or DVD/Blu-ray player. We are located on a hillside. Traveling lightly is recommended. Please see the directions for more details.
Minimum amenity provided to keep the price low. Please bring your own bath towels (you can rent one for 200 yen if you need). Shared kithcen and communal shower rooms are located in a separate building, which is about 2 meter (6 feet) away (meaning, you need to go outside).
Since you will be sharing a room with others and sleeping on futon, you may want to bring a camping headlight (to use in your room) if you are planing to enjoy Onomichi late at night.
We have a cafe, but it does't serve full meals. Guests are welcome to bring their own food/beverages in the cafe space.
In late Spring and Summer, given that we are located on a hillside, we have lots of mosquitos and other bugs, we have mosquito repellent in each room, but it is impossible to get rid of them all. You may want to bring your own bug spray.
- Eating/drinking allowed only in common area.
- Shikkui-plastered walls are easily damaged. Please avoid leaning against them or striking them.
- Do not jump or run on the stairs or in the hallways.
- Be gentle with fittings such as shoji sliding doors.
- Please carry bags with wheels with your hands to avoid damaging hallways and tatami mattress.
- Toko-no-ma is a space for appreciating art pieces, not a storage place for your bags/suitcases.
- Located on hilltop. Guests are advised to avoid carrying heavy luggage.

Hi I am Hideo. I lived in Seattle WA USA for 22+ years, but loved Onomichi so much, so I visited there every year since 2009. Now I am living in Onomichi. Onomichi is where the Shimanami Kaido starts on the main island. So it is a popular cyclist city.
I love music, movies, and art in general. I also like to discuss just about anything and learn from others.
