Modern, self-catered barn in the middle of the beautiful Sussex countryside. With peaceful views across the fields, you can enjoy a restful evening with a glass of wine or cup of coffee on the patio or explore the nearby seaside and historic city. This beautiful, purpose built barn is light and airy, and perfect for a luxury getaway in the West Sussex countryside. With all the amenities of a hotel room but with the added privacy and freedom of your own space, the barn can provide you with everything you need for the perfect English holiday.
Directly outside, you'll find a pretty patio area in which to enjoy an al fresco glass of wine on a summer's evening, or perhaps breakfast with a view across the surrounding fields.
Inside is a modern, fully fitted kitchen with a dishwasher, oven, hob, microwave, kettle and toaster so you'll have everything you need should you wish to eat in!
There are two bedrooms made up for you with soft and luxurious bedding, ready for a peaceful night's sleep. The interior has been lovingly decorated and has a distinct Scandinavian feel, with characterful English country cottage vibes playfully visible in the décor.
Cosy up with friends and loved ones in the open plan living area and get stuck in to a cheese board (local cheeses can be ordered and arranged at your request) and a game of Risk! There is also a DVD player with a variety of DVDs for you to choose from.
The historic city of Chichester is only 4 miles away, and can be easily accessed by regular public transport. With shops, restaurants and the famous Chichester Festival Theatre, Chichester makes for a delightful visit at any time of the year.
Just 4 miles in the other direction, are the beautiful sandy sweep of beaches at West Wittering- perfect for outdoor enthusiasts, beach lovers and those interested in water sports.
For the keen sailor, Birdham is home to a large number of yachts moored at The Chichester Basin and Birdham Pool. This makes for a very attractive walk around the harbour and is right on your doorstep.
Goodwood, famous for the Festival of Speed and the vibrant, themed Revival is a 15 minute drive away, so whether your visiting the Racecourse for a flutter or one of the wonderful events on the Goodwood calendar, the barn makes for the perfect base.
There are plenty of local restaurants a short drive away from the barn and we would be more than happy to make a few suggestions.
We also have a sister barn, directly next door that can be rented out to a further four people- perfect for larger parties and events in the area.
We are extremely well located for weddings at South End Barns and would be more than happy to host guests and family members.
The barn is located next to a farmhouse and you have your own private access via your front door. There is a keypad, containing a set of keys for the duration of your stay, we just ask that you return these before you leave. There is a parking space for up to two cars directly outside the barn.
Общение с гостями
Any time you need us throughout your stay, you can get in touch. We would be more than happy to help in any way we can. If you would like us to meet you at the barn when you arrive to run through how things work and make any local recommendations for food and activities, please let me know.
Другие важные подробности
We allow well-behaved dogs at the barn as there are plenty of places for them to run around and have fun nearby! We would like to mention that there is a deep, open water pond on the property and a sheep field with an electric fence behind the barns so please do not let your dogs (or children!) out of the property without supervision.
There is plenty of covered parking for your car.
No smoking inside please.
The wifi can be patchy as it is a Mifi system not connected to the main house (we've tried!!) But be patient.
No dogs on the furniture please!
The barn is located next to a farmhouse, so we request that you keep the noise down after 10pm.
No smoking at the property.
We love the barn very much- and hope you will too so ask that you are respectful of the furnishings and the building whilst you stay with us.
