Andrea and her parents graciously welcomed me into the family and I immediately felt right at home. We shared memorable moments of tea and conversation, and they even invited me to share Father's Day lunch with them! Even their sweet puppy made friends with me right away.
The home is tastefully decorated with a warm, traditional, solid-wood style, has several grocery stores and eateries nearby. While located in a nice residential area, it is fairly near the business center of Quito and has several transportation options within close range. At the end of my stay, Andrea's father kindly drove me to the nearby airport shuttle station.
The room is ample and comfortable, has a well-provisioned private bathroom, and has a good view of the city, being on the third floor. The only drawback was the sound of traffic half a block away, but that died down as the evenings wore on, so did not interfere with my sleep.
I highly recommend Andrea's home, especially for those staying in Quito for several days and needing a relaxing, comfortable work space while there.
