Dog(s) и cat(s) live in the house
The house was great and exactly as described. Perfect for travel with my family with 3 kids. There is lots of space, and we had a great time. There is no TV, but we rented DVD, and watched them in the family room. My only warning is if you have a severe cat allergy, like I do, you might will have some effect. They did a good job of cleaning, but some minute dander must have remained.
The house was very unique. Stocked with games, books, and different types of teas. However, the house was not as clean as expected (sand in bedrooms) and was missing certain amenities ( there was coffee but no coffee maker, grinder, or sugar). There was also someone living in the apt above the house but she was quiet and kept to herself. But we did have good time here.
We had a very comfortable stay. Half of our group got food poisoning, sadly... so our family reunion in Santa Cruz didn't go as expected. However, having a home-away-from-home helped a lot. The backyard was a fantasyland for the 6 year old in our group! Soooo awesome! We enjoyed testing all the fun instruments in the house, ha ha, we even started a family band! :) We loved the different spaces that we could all gather and visit in. This home is the primary home of the owners and is FILLED with cool family art and interesting tidbits.
Pros: Lots of kids toys, well stocked kitchen, and an excellent location. Lots of great food and drinks available within an easy walk. Also an easy walk to a quiet beach and an easy drive to the main Santa Cruz drag. Beautiful for runs. Very homey. Cons: There are 4 cats and a dog that live in the upstairs suite and roam the yard all day and may try to jump in through the windows. The cats also trigger the motion sensor lights outside the main bedroom through the night. The upstairs neighbor also has a full wall of windows that look into the backyard and must walk past all the windows along the side of the house (bedroom and kitchen) to come and go.
