This unique, cozy and sunny one-bedroom apartment is a welcome respite, offering a truly country feel. Teeming with plants and sunlight, a five minute walk to the metro, it's in a great location nestled between Little Italy, Plateau and Mile End.
Airy and very comfortable, this flat really will make you feel like you're in the countryside. It is well-located, just North of the famous Plateau area, minutes from Mile End (upper plateau) -- which is one of Montreal's most interesting neighbourhoods, and close to parc Laurier, which hosts an outdoor swimming pool in the summer, ice hockey rinks in the winter, and plenty of trendy bars and restaurants. Beaubien street, one block to the North, is bustling with restaurants and bars, and Plaza St. Hubert will fulfill all of your shopping needs!
The apartment itself has a lot of charm and calm and truly feels rustic and bucolic. The big sunroom in the back looks on to an alleyway with a gorgeous, big tree and chirping birds. You will hear the church bells ringing and rain-drops pattering during storms. The bedroom also faces the back (as does the kitchen), so the quiet side of the street, and this provides for a good sleep.
There is internet but no television or stereo system. Though you are welcome to listen to classical music on the radio in the morning or choose from your choice of old LPs to play on the record player! ;)
The washing machine is not currently working, and it is too cold during winter to put clothes on the clothesline, but there is a laundry-mat two blocks east of Christophe-Colomb on Bellechasse.
The living room has a pull out couch (to sleep two) but because it faces the main street, it is a little noisy if the door is open. Closing the sliding door cuts the sound off very well, however! The bedroom, however, as the kitchen and the sunroom, all face the back and are very quiet.
All in all, this is a simple and cozy apartment, strategically located -- a welcome respite from the hustle and bustle!
There are lots of plants, so please it would be great if you would water them while you stay there! ;)
**please note that during winter months the sunroom is not as accessible (it is not insulated and is therefore too cold to "sunbathe" in!) ;) During the day, it is sometimes warm enough to sit in there, and in the evenings you are welcome to use the space heater, though please be extremely careful!
Everything in the flat is available to you! i.e. coffee maker, plates, pots, etc. I can provide towels and of course sheets/blankets.

I am very happy to show you around and welcome you if I am in town. If not, I will send a close friend to greet you! Please know that the approach here is safe and reliable.
Другие важные подробности
Note that the sunroom in the back is too cold to use during the winter months (hence the reduced price).
There is a washing machine that works in the flat, and a clothes-line. The washing machine has to be rolled over to the sink and attached to the faucet. Also, if you prefer there are laundry facilities two minutes away from the flat on Bellechasse (East of Christophe-Colomb).
There is a super-market on Beaubien called 'Marche Tradition' just a few blocks East of Christophe-Colomb. On Beaubien you'll also find an SAQ, a fromagerie (across the street and a little bit East of the SAQ), a wonderful brasserie called "Isle de Garde", and on the other side of Christophe-Colomb, a poissonerie (biological fish store), a health food store, a nice coffee shop called "Cafe Olive et Noix," and some inexpensive restaurants.
Kindly respect the space, the neighbours and the belongings. Please water the plants!
The stove is rather antique and it is very easy to leave the burners on, as there are no lights to indicate whether they are on/off. Please remember when leaving the house to check that all of the burners are all turned off.
I recently bought a piano for the apartment. You are welcome to play it but please respect the neighbours and avoid playing before noon and after 8pm. Thanks! ;)
