TWO or more single beds in 6 beds mixed dormitory in the cozy, relaxed homestay with artsy vibe. Wide selection of Indonesian coffees available, also kopi luwak (from wild civets only) - from own, small production.
Luwabica is filled with art and unique oldschool things. We like to recycle, most of the furnitures are made by ourselves from the wooden pallets, bamboo and whatever else they consider trash.
The house consists of three private rooms plus 6 single beds in mixed dormitory - if full, it has a hostel atmosphere, but after the high season/Indonesian holidays it's rather quiet.
Each dorm bed has a private socket, private lamp plus two small lockers - we have padlocks too if you don't travel with your own.
We run a sustainable business and encourage our guests to save energy by not using AC more than needed. AC is only available between 10pm and 9am. Anyway nights in Jogja are rather cool (around 20 degrees).
We have wifi (pretty fast for Indonesian standards), two shared bathrooms (half Indonesian, half Western style - both equipped with shower, one even with hot water - but it has limited capacity, so in case everyone decides to take a shower at the same time, it might be not enough for everyone - hot water is a luxury in Indonesia!), kitchen with fridge and stove in case you wanna cook. There is also playstation 3 and mini soccer/billiard table for your use.
Everyone's favourite spot is the small backyard behind the house where you can chill in the hammock and have a beer.
The whole common space is for your use, but you'll be sharing it with another guests - we can accomodate up to 12 people.
Breakfast is not included in the price, but starting from 9 a.m. you can order an awesome healthy granola fruit bowl for 35.000 rupiah. If you prefer eating like a local, we'll give you recommendations on where to find Indonesian breakfast around :)
Mineral water, tea and instant coffee is free and available anytime, but if you're a coffee lover, we also have a wide selection of Indonesian coffees (including kopi luwak from our own, small and sustainable production) available at extra charge.
Общение с гостями
This little guesthouse is just an addition to our normal life, we're both quite busy with another things and we're not always around, so it might happen that we'll only meet for a while, but between 9am and 10pm Aldy's family is around to take care of the house and our guests :)
They'll be happy to help you to organize your holidays, book trips, call a taxi or just chat. Since Emi loves maps, she made an interactive map of Jogja with our favourite spots (restaurants, street food, places to hang out) around the city - you'll get the link to it after booking.
Другие важные подробности
We have a cat called Yoda. He isn't allowed to go inside the guests' rooms, but you know - it's only a cat and cats are always curious, so if you don't like them/have allergy, keep your door always closed.

Indonesian-Polish mix - Aldy, an artist and Emi, travel blogger. Name "Luwabica" comes from the combination of "luwak" and "arabica" and it's our own coffee brand. It's known as the most expensive and luxurious coffee in the world, yet its production process is not always ethical. Our coffee business is 100% sustainable and our goal is to educate people to buy only coffee from the good source - unlike most of kopi luwak produced in Indonesia, our comes from wild animals only.
