Luxury accommodation in magnificent tall eucalypt forest. Our large timber pole home comes with abundant wildlife, peace and quiet and plenty to explore on 14ha abutting National Park. A great base to explore a fascinating area.
The home has three levels and is comfortable and fully kitted out with everything you need for a self catering stay. We will provide linen and towels and some basics to get you started but you will need to bring all your food and other consumables. There is the Wondecla Roadhouse 9.4km down the road for basics and a supermarket etc in Herberton about 12.5km away. Be aware that our space is at 1000m altitude so is cool for the tropics - about 5 degrees cooler than Cairns.
The whole house and property will be yours to enjoy. However, I recommend you stick to the roads and tracks, its easy to get lost going bush off the tracks and there are plenty of barbed-wire vines that scratch. You are welcome to light a fire in the outdoor, stone fire pit or in the fireplace inside. However, in some, very dry seasons the local fire brigade imposes a total fire ban. We will let you know if one is in place.
