Happily retired from over a quarter century as secretary of the local community school, I enjoy meeting people and showing visitors shortcuts through our trail network and special places on Bowen Island. I love to swim in the ocean (we are a five minute walk from Pebbly Beach) and walk for pleasure. Lately I have started bicycling again, mostly around the flat parts in Crippen Park or taking my bike to Vancouver, exploring the many bike routes. I am still learning about gardening and what works in our climate. Every plant that survives and even thrives despite pests and predators is a success! In the winter, I get back to knitting socks, trying new recipes and enjoy a slower pace of life.
