I am working on new pictures that show your new “improved” accommodations on my Airbnb site. I developed very bad back issues this year and the dozens of times I was running up and down the stairs from my suite to the first level became a little dangerous and painful for me so I have turned over the master suite with the ensuite large bathroom to my guests. You will have better views of the city, an even larger room, a great TV and sofa in your suite, more privacy and more ‘quiet’. It is the same great mattress but I had to buy a new iron bed frame to fit under an overhang that would not accommodate the pencil post bed. All else is the same. I am hoping this will come as a pleasant surprise for all the wonderful “Airbnbers” who have reserved my space over the next few months. I am doing fine downstairs in the guest room and am still always here to help you with any issues.
Easy access by train or subway from JFK, LaGuadia or Penn Station. If using the subway, the C train (subway) will carry you to within a block and a half of my building in Brooklyn. When you exit the C train at the Clinton-Washington stop, exit left towards Washington, take a hard left at top of stairs, cross Atlantic Ave. and my building is 630 Washington on your right just past Pacific Ave. Push a 3 5 and bell symbol on the key pad and I can buzz you into the building. Call me or text at (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN) when you know your arrival times, etc. and for any other questions.
I am a single mother and grandmother and a retiree of Los Alamos National Laboratory in the mountains of northern New Mexico. I came to NYC 5 years ago after 30 years in NM to be close to my daughter and her family. I have a wonderful quiet apartment on the fifth floor (over 1400 square feet) with views of Manhattan and a courtyard below. Close to the train and only 4 stops to the heart of Manhattan, yet a quick walk to Brooklyn's finest - Museum, Botanic Garden, Library, and Prospect Park all less than a mile walk. I have always had a long term housemate (usually three to six months) but this summer I wanted to meet more people and experience all the good things that Airbnb relationships can bring so I am looking forward to another new experience. All my past housemates have loved my downstairs suite and I quickly learn just how much interaction each resident has wanted and needed and feel that I am flexible enought to provide just what they need. My own upstairs space is so private and quiet when my door is closed, we many times will text each other to "catch up". Hope to see you soon at "my place".. Linda
