'Twice Lucky' is cosy, handsome and ramshackle. An original fibro weekender, she's a haven from the fast-paced digital world. No internet, no telly, just a comfortable place to read and cook and eat and play in the best village in the Blue Mountains.

Twice Lucky was built in the 1970s, and she wears it proudly. The hero space is the living room/ dining / kitchen area with its traditional 70s-style gas fireplace - so you can get instant heat and adjust the flame easily.
Here's some of the other features of the house.
Gas hot water which you can set to the exact temp you like to have a shower. 44 degrees is perfect we suggest.
Weber Gas barbecue (you can use this 2 metres from the house in a total fire ban)
Shower, no bath.
Loads of blankets.
Doonas, of course.
Decks front and back, which are lovely places to soak up the sun.
Right now there's no access to the laundry, the shed or the studio. If you are an artist and you fancy using Julie's studio in future, check back with us in a bit. We are getting it ready for guests to use. Twice Lucky is a great place to get creative.
Общение с гостями
Whenever I can, I'll personally meet and greet you at Twice Lucky. And most of the time I'll be at the end of the phone and five minutes' drive away, if you need to ask me something.
Don't worry about the bed linen, but please wash up the dishes.
If you want to bring your dog (the yard is fenced), let us know. We'll want a chat about your hound before we accept your booking.
Please don't go out the white gate in the backyard, because it leads onto our neighbour's property.
I'm a writer who likes a good book and a strong cup of tea, and a bit of ukulele playing around the fire. My partner Julie is a printmaker, textile designer and artist. You can see a bit of her work around the Mountains at the Blue Mountains Cultural Centre and in the beautiful Megalong Tea Rooms, just ten minutes from Blackheath.
To check out Julie's work search 'Julie Paterson Cloth fabric.' She's got two sites, one for ClothFabric and one that is for her art practice.
Julie and I have a food blog together called Splayd and Crayon.
And I write flash fictions which you can read at my blog Small Stories.
So that' s us. We've been in the Airbnb community for a couple of years now as punters, and we are now proudly hosting for the first time.
We welcome you to our listing for the handsomest old school 1970s fibro house in town, Twice Lucky.
