Nice, light and spaceous appartment of (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) sft)) situated in a quiet part of the popular area called ‘de Pijp’ (south of centre). House dates from 1906 but has been fully refurbished and redecorated. The appartement consists of 2 floors:
1st floor: living room, kitchen, sleeping room nr 1 with a single bed, toilet, laundry room, indoor staircase to 2nd floor.
2nd floor: bathroom, sleeping room nr 2 with a double bed, and sleeping room nr 3 with a single bed and extra bed.
1st + 2nd floor = 115 m2.
The kitchen with large stove plus oven, dishwasher, 2 fridges and nespresso machine. The appartment has fast internet connection (Wifi). The bathroom consists of a toilet, bathtub and shower. The sleeping rooms nrs 2 and 3 are children’s rooms but both have real beds (grown up size). Sleeping room nr 3 also has an extra bed. Furthermore the appartment has two small ‘French’ balkonies on the front side and a larger balcony on the back of the first floor. The appartment is light, decorated in modern style, with light oak wooden floors and is ‘kids proof’. The appartment suits every type of visitor but especially a family with 2 or 3 kids or a couple will love this place. Public transport: tram nrs 24, 12 and 3. The closest railway station is Station RAI which goes directly to and from Schiphol Airport. From Station RAI you can take a taxi. You can also stop at Station Zuid. From Station Zuid you can take bus number 65, and stop at the Scheldestraat. From there it is a 10 minutes walk to our house. Another option is tram number 5 (stop at the Roelof Hartplein) and there you take tram number 3, which stops around the corner of our house (stop at the Eerste van der Helststraat). Parking on the street against payment or in one of the public parking garages (closest by is the one near the Albert Cuyp market, Marie Heinekensquare).
The Albert Cuypmarket and the charming small ‘Sarphatipark’ are at a 5 minutes walk of the appartment. Within walking distance as well are the famous museums (Rijks, Stedelijk, Van Gogh). The ‘Pijp’ is a vivid quarter with plenty of restaurant, shops, cafés en clubs. When you open your front door, you’re standing right at cosy the Van der Helstplein, with a couple of good restaurants and nice cafés. Bike rental literally around the corner (Ceintuurbaan/Eerste Van der Helststraat). At the end of the street you’ll find a large supermarket (open 7 days p/w).
