This historic shotgun home with side-hall porch is located in the heart of the Bywater neighborhood. It is less than a block from the MS River and the beautiful Crescent Park, and 1.1 miles from the French Quarter. You will love this home!
This is beautiful old historic shotgun-style home with updated amenities. As with all shotguns, all rooms are connected (except, of course, the bathroom). There is a formal sitting room, bedroom, living room/second bedroom (with sleeper sofa - new queen size La-z-boy supreme comfort with slumber air mattress), a kitchen, front porch and side porch. The large bathroom has a claw foot tub and barge-board walls. The side and backyards have a tropical ambiance with a fish pond. There is heating/AC, washer/dryer, wireless internet. There is no t.v. or dishwasher.
You will have access to the whole house and can enter from the front or side of the house. There is street parking or parking in the Crescent City Parking lot a half block away.

We expect our guests to be respectful of the property and the neighborhood. Please enjoy yourselves but keep loud music and noise to a minimum, especially in the evenings as there are young children living nearby. Please ask about pets. No smoking please.
I am a working mom, former Peace Corps Volunteer, and science teacher. Since Hurricane Katrina I have been working on the City's recovery. I love to travel, read, and learn and interact with others from different countries and cultures. I love this beautiful city, music, art and nature. I am very happy to make recommendations about some of my favorites!
