This is a cliff top chalet in a natural setting on the South East Cornish coast. There are incredible views of Whitsand Bay from the small garden. The chalet is situated by a public path leading down to an amazing, unspoilt beach, where you can swim, surf, go rock-pooling or simply walk along the shore at low tide. Tregonhawke Cliff is a magical place with little if any light pollution, so star-gazing is a must. The South West coast path also runs along the top of the cliff in both directions.
The chalet is basic and a little out-dated, but has mains water and electric. There are two electric heaters. There is one 1 double bed (4ft wide) and 2 singles. There is a kitchen equipped with a small oven and 2 ring hob, fridge/freezer, kettle, toaster and coffee pot. There is also a combination oven and microwave. The living/dining room has a table, 4 chairs, sofa and 2 armchairs. There is a small shower room with electric shower and a utility area to leave your beach gear/ wet suits/ surf boards etc. There is also a washing machine and rotary washing line to put out in the garden.
There is a 'public' parking space at the top of Tregonhawke Cliff, just above the Cliff Top Café. In the busy summer months we also have a private parking space in a field just across the road. The field has a locked gate, but we can give you the padlock code and the parking permit. From the road there is short walk down some steps and a steep, paved path to the chalet (about 100 metres.) To reach the beach from the chalet, you walk a little further down the tarmac path. This changes to a steep, uneven path with lots of steps to reach the beach. It's not easy, but it is worth it!
