Communication, key exchange, and all practical matters with Anh were straightforward, prompt, and efficient, and he seemed like a good guy. The apartment was spacious, in a good neighborhood, close to many stores, cafes, and more, and it well situated to access the small city - and of course the price was great as well. The parking spot was also a nice bonus.
There were a few things missing from what one typically expects from a stay with Airbnb, however. For example, there were no spaces to work or eat (a couch with no coffee table, chairs with no desk/table, a bar with no bar stools) despite the desk pictured in the images, the bed was a 6" blow-up mattress that deflated quickly (I fortunately brought my own), there were no bathroom towels or spare blankets, there was no television (despite "cable" being listed in the description) and I had to request cooking utensils (which Anh was helpful in supplying upon my inquiry). None of these things are "deal breakers" per se, but they could be a surprise and major inconvenience if you have stayed Airbnb in the past and have certain expectations.
In other words, Anh is a reliable host and his place is ideal if you just need a base of operations to sleep and explore the city, but it leaves much to be desired with regard to the normal Airbnb experience.
