Hello! I am an ex-New Yorker who has lived in our home in Los Olivos since 1988. My husband, Steve, a plumbing contractor, and I are empty-nesters sharing our home with our Pomeranian, Pearl. We raised our 2 daughters here and are happy that they live close and are blossoming in their careers! We are all about family. I love living in the Santa Ynez Valley and feel incredibly lucky to have landed here! I love to share dinners in and out with friends at our favorite restaurants which include SY Kitchen, The Brothers at the Red Barn, Sides Hardware and Shoes and Industrial Eats. We love road trips and our go-to vacation spot in Sunriver, Oregon, where we have gone for many years with friends and family. We love to hear the travel stories of our guests! I love to read (favorite books... Unbroken, Memoirs of a Geisha); going to the movies (favorite movie...The Shawshank Redemption); sitting at my favorite local coffee shop with my dog and friends; going to concerts and playing Mah Jongg. Steve relaxes by playing bridge and an occasional golf game. I love all kinds of music from the 60s and 70s of my youth as well as big band, classical, country and folk. I have branched out and enjoy current music as well. We have wireless speakers in the common areas of the house and would be happy to play some of your favorite tunes! I am a former tour guide so it is my nature to share my love and excitement for where I live. We love getting to know our guests but are completely respectful of your privacy. My husband and I are warm, outgoing people, who love hosting and will enjoy getting the opportunity to welcome you to our home!
