A quintessential mid-bank cottage by the Salish Sea. Built in the 1940's from salvaged materials, we renovated it to include the best of its original structure with updated beauty. It still takes our breath away! There are 2 other small private accommodations on the property that may be occupied or added to the rental of the cottage- the Salish Sea Cabin situated behind the cottage and a 20' Yurt on the water. Please ask if you have questions prior to renting.
The Property: 2.5 acres of mid-bank waterfront property. There
This gorgeous coastal cottage is the perfect vacation to get away from it all. Situated on a 2.5 acre mid-bank waterfront property, you will feel like you've left busy life far behind—even though it’s only 1 hour from Seattle.
Take in the sunset from the large front deck or inside, behind the six sets of glass doors that overlook the water. Relax in the jetted tub, also overlooking the water, play a game on the sprawling front lawn or sit around the fire pit under the stars. Start the day with a majestic view of the Salish Sea (Puget Sound), framed by the 100 foot fir trees, and the serene property from the queen size bed and master bedroom, complete with a full wall of glass doors.
Looking for an active getaway? There are great hiking and mountain biking trails nearby, launch your sea kayak from our property, or partake in some of the best fishing in this Puget Sound area just down our path to the beach.
This beautiful and well-appointed two-bedroom cottage sleeps four comfortably, and can accommodate up to 6 people with the use of a very comfortable full size airbed in the office space.
Looking for more or less space? We also have a newly-renovated private cabin which sleeps two, and a waterfront yurt coming soon (See Salish Sea Resort Cabin for more information).
We know you’ll enjoy our wonderful coastal cottage retreat any time of year!
Guests can access all of the property, including the path to the beach, the front yard, deck facing the water and the driveway. There may be others staying in the cabin or yurt so guests may see each other from time to time but spaces are private and property is large.
Общение с гостями
This is our primary home but we love to share it because it is such a remarkable place. We are communitarian at heart so we have been developing the property to create various living spaces. When the house is rented we stay in the cabin or yurt on the property. We are respectful of the comfort level of those staying- some wanting more interaction than others. There is no expectation but we enjoy whatever happens naturally and make ourselves available. Our friend and fellow airbnb host owns the yurt and rents it out from time to time. When she is here, so is her friendly dog, Cleo:)
Другие важные подробности
We are told by local fishermen that the water in front of our home is some of the best fishing in the area and a fire pit is a wonderful way to spend an evening.
Creating beautiful spaces to share with others is one of the joys in our life. This is our personal home, and we ask that you treat it as such. Reading the manual should answer most questions but please let us know if you need anything. This is not a place to stay, it is a destination.
