My place is really close to Palm Springs, and you’ll "love my place"...because, well, it's close to...uhmmm...Palm Springs!!! Enough said...oh, AND for all the many, many...many desert activities! As a recent transplant from San Diego, living here in the desert is truly lovely...THE WEATHER alone...again, just sayin'...the whole area here is just a great place to chill, reflect & relax...and enjoy life!
Nestled in the southern California desert of the Coachella Valley, between Palm Springs and Rancho Mirage, at the base of the San Jacinto and Santa Rosa Mountain ranges, Date Palm Country Club provides residents magnificent views from every angle. The community offers spacious home sites, open views and beautiful California weather. Active residents enjoy the community’s many amenities including the 18 hole executive golf course, five swimming pools with in-ground spas, a well equipped gym, saunas, lighted tennis courts and a restaurant with full bar.
The golf course, designed in 1967 by Ted Robinson, ASCCA, and opened in 1971, has an 18-hole “executive style” facility. It features 3,100 yards (2,800 m) of golf from the longest tees for a par of 58. The course rating is 54.9/57.2 and has a slope rating of 90/93. It is landscaped in Bermuda Greens and includes lakes and sand traps. The most memorable tee is the 175 yard 8th hole, which has an accurate tee shot over a lake. For many years, Date Palm Country Club and Golf Course was the home of the famed Phil Harris Golf Classic until his death in 1994.
The three club houses provide many social events for residents. World class medical facilities, including the Eisenhower Medical Center and the Desert Regional Medical Center are just minutes away. A wide variety of shopping, gourmet dining, theatres, cinemas including IMAX, the Living Desert Zoo and Botanical Gardens, museums and cultural centers are also available nearby.
In addition to household amenities, the home offers a 18 hole executive golf course, five swimming pools with in-ground spas, a well equipped gym, saunas, lighted tennis courts and a restaurant with full bar.
