Live like a New Yorker instead of staying in a overpriced hotel/hostel. Share my small, cozy one bedroom apt. nestled in the historic lower east side, steps to the subway and walking distance to the coolest neighborhoods. Sofa sleeper in living room
Don't stay at a hostel! Stay with me in my lower east side apartment.
( Before reading description, PLEASE NOTE: do not automatically book with out messaging me first.)
Cute, cozy, 1 bdrm apt in hip lower east side of Manhattan to share for short term stays - 1 person only for this particular listing (possible 2nd person (***no couples, see below***) Good situation for tourist looking for cheap place to stay that is more private and homey than a hostel or someone moving to NY and looking for a home base while you look for something more permanent or someone here in NYC for short term work/business.
I have a new comfy sofa sleeper in living room. The apartment is small with separate rooms for bedroom and living room. I would stay in bedroom, guest on sofa sleeper in living room. The rooms are adjoined and I would have to walk through living room to get to kitchen and bathroom, so not 100% private. I have plenty of towels, linens, blankets, etc.
Sometimes there may be a 3rd person staying on couch in bedroom - either a friend visiting or a 3rd guest. Please be ok with that possibility. If a 3rd person will be staying, I will certainly let you know. You would still have living area to yourself at night.
***As I mentioned above, you will be staying in living room on sofa sleeper, I will be staying in bedroom, sleeping on my bed. You will have the living room space to yourself at night, but during the day everyone shares the whole place. This is also an option for 2 friends traveling together. The price for two people (no couples) is $40 each person. You would be sharing a full sized sofa sleeper in living room. No couples.
This has worked out great many times for me and have met some great people from the all over the world (see reviews).
The apartment is steps to the F train, East Broadway stop and very close, 5 minutes to "hip Lower East Side", Canal/Delancey/Houston streets, where there are many hip bars, restaurants and shops. Apt is clean, has a fully equipped kitchen, cable TV/ A/C, heat, and wireless internet. Apartment is located on 2nd floor of well maintained walk up building. Walking distance to Soho, East Village, Little Italy, Chinatown and very close to Dumbo and Willliamsburg, Brooklyn - one stop on subway.
You will have your own keys and open to come and go as you please. Very laid back, open minded, liberal and creative environment. Prefer guests who are the same. Not a great fit for those who are early to bed or homebodies.
Guest has access to whole apartment.
$40/ a night (for one person). As described above, if two friends (no couples) are traveling, price would be $40 per person, per night. No deposit needed. Open to stays from 1 night to 4 weeks, possibly longer, pending availability. Also, no smoking in apartment, though outside or on roof of building is ok.
Not ideal for bringing guests, especially overnight, considering the size of apartment and that I would also be there also.
***PLEASE NOTE - If you prefer to not have a profile, please also send me information about yourself in initial inquiry. I'm more inclined to accept reservations from potential guests that have clear pictures and profiles on Airbnb.***
Guests have access to the whole apartment.

Другие важные подробности
This is my personal apartment. It's not a business. It's not a hotel. It's not perfect. I host often and keep up with my place because of that. I try to keep it as clean as possible. However, it does have imperfections like anyone's home. If you expect perfection, it's best you book a hotel. :)
No smoking. No pets in apartment. No guests, especially overnight.
I live in NYC, but originally from Texas. Spend a lot of time in Tulsa. I love to travel and meeting new people. Big tennis fan and movie buff. I'm a director/producer/writer of TV commercials, theater, film and web videos. I also am Executive Director of a short film festival, NYC PictureStart Film Festival as well as Founder/Executive Director of Tulsa American Film Festival.
I have a small 1 bedroom apt in the Lower East Side in Manhattan. I rent out my apartment two ways - as a full on rental during the year when I am traveling, or as a shared situation for those traveling alone and want a safe, clean, cool place to crash while you are checking out NYC. The latter option is good for people looking for cheap place to stay while interning, here on business, or as a place to stay while looking for something more permanent.
I'm very open minded, liberal, laid back and respectful. All welcome.
