Set on one acre on the banks of the beautiful Goulburn River, the cabin is ideal for a romantic escape, family getaway or weekend with friends. You can choose to do a multitude of activities in the area or just relax by the river in summer or by the fire in winter.
*****KEEP SCROLLING DOWN TO SEE THE MID-WEEK SPECIAL******
The spacious open plan living and dining area has cathedral ceilings, a fire-place made from locally sourced slate, a wood-heater, a huge comfy couch and large dining table. Relics from the gold-mining days adorn the walls.
I wish to provide guests with the chance to experience the relaxation that comes with a 'technology detox' so there is no TV and no internet. There is also no mobile reception. Here are some recent guest's comments to me about this.
"The seclusion, no internet or tv was a fantastic way to de-stress, sitting around the fire or chatting on the deck was so relaxing we'll definitely visit again."
Music can be played on the Bose sound system using a device pre-loaded with music such as an iPod or iPhone. There is a large trunk full of games and jigsaw puzzles suitable for adults and plenty of books and magazines.
Floor to ceiling windows offer a lovely view across the lawn to the river and a glass door opens onto an expansive deck complete with comfy couch and arm chairs. The perfect spot to curl up and enjoy a morning cuppa or an afternoon drink and just enjoy the view.
The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need and has a walk in pantry. A selection of teas, Vittoria coffee for the plunger or dripolater, sugar and pantry essentials such as oil, vinegars, sauces, salt and pepper, herbs and spices are provided. There are two large fridges, one with a small freezer. There is an electric oven and stove-top as well as a microwave.
There is a separate toilet and spacious bathroom with shower over the bath. Locally made 'Dindi Natural' soaps are provided.
There are two bedrooms one with a queen bed, the second with a double bed and a set of bunks. Woollen quilts, a range of hypo-allergenic pillows, luxurious 1000 thread count sheets, quilt covers and towels are provided. Electric blankets are on the beds in the cooler months.
The 70's touches are a nod to the era in which the cabin was built.
There are outdoor chairs, sun loungers, hammocks and an outdoor dining table. Choose to cook on the large gas BBQ/oven, or slow cook something in the Weber Kettle, BYO charcoal. (Access to the Weber must be pre-arranged)

Hi I’m Samantha,
I’ve purchased the cabin at Kevington as my weekender and I’m so happy to be able to share it with you.
My dad and my late mum purchased the land in 1976 when I was just 6 years old and built the cabin on it. I spent every weekend and school holidays here as a child and it holds cherished memories of times spent here with my family.
My career has been in hospitality, travel and hotels and I’ve been vey fortunate to have travelled extensively staying in many beautiful homes and hotels around the world.
Despite this, I still regard the cabin at Kevington to be one of the most special places in the world and I hope you’ll love it as much as I do.
Using the feedback received and my experience in the hospitality industry, I intend to continually make improvements to the cabin so you too will have cherished memories of your stay and will want to return over and over again.
