Tucked away on a tree-lined street six blocks west of the Iowa State campus is a charming 1940’s-era home with two upstairs bedrooms to share with guests. This is the listing for the antique-filled south bedroom.
This AirBnB listing is for the bedroom called the “south bedroom. There is a separate AirBnB listing for the “north” bedroom. You are welcome to rent one or both rooms. Each bedroom can sleep two, as both have double beds.
Persian rugs are on the bedroom floors and antiques welcome you. Each room has an empty closet for your things and plenty of light. A full bath is down the hall.
Guests are welcome to use the kitchen, living room with fireplace and washer/drier. Wifi is available. You are invited to relax on the three-season back porch and take in the activity around the bird feeders. Because my home is filled with family heirlooms, I've found it is a better home for adults. Therefore, I'm not accepting children as guests. It would just make their parents nervous!
ISU alumni and friends will feel especially welcome, as our family’s connection with the university and the Ames community spans decades. We think you’ll discover this home to be an easy place to stay and you’ll quickly feel like a local.
There is plenty of street parking in the quiet neighborhood or you could park in the driveway.
Ames has a bed occupancy tax of 7% and Iowa has sales tax of 5%. These amounts are included in the nightly rate. Guests must check-in before 11pm. No late check-ins can be accommodated.
I will welcome you when you arrive and I will be staying/sleeping in the house while you are visiting. Everything is pretty easy and I can answer any questions you may have then.
Check out is 11am.
