Maalaea is Maui's best kept secret. Oceanfront/Beachfront yet not a huge tourist area. We are only about 15 minutes from the airport and you most likely won't get stuck in that awful traffic to Lahaina upon arrival. We are centrally located to all Maui has to offer and our condo should make you feel right at home while on vacation in paradise!

Check in will be self serve by way of a lock box. All elevator and codes will be provided upon verification of booking. You will have one assigned parking spot but parking is free. You need to register upon arrival with the front office and place the parking permit in your windshield while on property. Mahalo.

TAX ID GET(PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN): This is Our Rental Agreement, you acknowledge & agree to follow all the “House Rules” for this complex and our unit and any posted signage. Mahalo! No refunds due to weather related issues or acts of God as these are out of owners control. Always recommended that guests purchase independent Travel Insurance to cover unforeseen circumstances.
No Smoking and No Pets! Violators will be charged $200. Smoking is not allowed in Hawaii in enclosed public places or within 20 feet of their entrances.
Contact owner or assistant if you need help with anything. Check in with the manager, to turn in your Registration Form and to acknowledge the House Rules or drop your form thru the drop slot on the office door. Please keep the lock box key in the lock box at all times in case you accidentally lose your other keys.
You will need the Common Area Key for the Laundry Room (Coin-op Laundry, one on each floor open from 8am – 9pm), the Pool (through the lobby is open from 9am – 9pm), and the Rubbish Chute. Quiet time is 9pm-8am. This is a very quiet complex all hours of the day so please show courtesy to others when you are out on the lanai and in the public areas. If you have a problem with the noise of others, please direct your complaint to the Resident Manager on site.
Please do not feed the birds from the lanai! Mahalo for removing your shoes when entering the condo (Hawaii Tradition).
Rubbish - When your rubbish needs to be dumped, please use the rubbish chute. It is located on the South end of the 4th Floor and you will need your common area key.
Linens – Please leave a note for the cleaning crew regarding any stains.
Wind and Rain – Please close & lock front door, close louvers when leaving the house.
Pest and Insects – The condo is treated on a regular basis. Please help us keep pests and insects to a minimum. Do not leave food out on the counter or exposed in the trashcans. Exposed food is an invitation for bugs, especially opened cereal boxes and sugar/sugary foods – keep them in sealed bags and in the refrigerator. Keeping the dishes rinsed and in the dishwasher and the kitchen counter clean, will help keep the bugs away. Mahalo!
Valuables – We are not responsible for lost or stolen items. Please double check that the front door is locked when you are not home! You should not leave valuables in your rental car! They are safer hidden inside the condo!
NO PARTIES & NO Additional Guests – please keep guests to the agreed number.
Condo Items –Please enjoy our belongings when you are here with respect. Please leave all items that belong to the condo when you leave. If we discover missing items such as towels, dishes, artwork, etc, you will be charged accordingly for the items to be replaced. Feel welcome to use what we have on hand (spices, canned food, cleaning supplies or first aid items. It would be very kind of you to replace an item if the stock gets low so all our guests may enjoy this convenience.
Septic System - Management has asked guest, please do NOT put inappropriate items down the garbage disposal (pineapple, pineapple rinds, fruit peels, paper towels, etc.)! When in doubt, throw it in the garbage! Please run the garbage disposal for 30 seconds prior to starting the dishwasher and never run it while the dishwasher is on! PLEASE nothing but human waste & minimal toilet paper in the toilets. PLEASE do not put Kleenex or feminine products in the toilets. Please clean the sand from your feet before entering the elevator to keep it from going down the tub/shower drains. Water spigots are located at the pool shower or in front of building.
Winds: Maui may experience high trade winds from time to time. Please take care when opening and closing the front door. We ask that you exercise caution, as we do not want you to hurt yourselves. You may need to occasionally wait for a brief calming in the wind to exit or enter.
Be sure to follow all our DEPARTURE INSTRUCTIONS BELOW upon leaving to assure you are not charged additional cleaning fees. CHECK-OUT is PROMPTLY by 11am unless previous arrangements have been made. We would love it if you could take a moment before you leave and sign our guest book. Be sure that the following items are completed:
1.Dispose of all open and unusable food items from the refrigerator, counter tops and cabinets. Bag and place ALL rubbish (kitchen, bathroom and bedroom) in the Rubbish Chute found on the 4th floor. You will need your Common Area Key to access the Rubbish Room.
2.Load dishwasher with any dirty dishes and START cycle.
3.Remove all bedding from the beds that were used and place in a pile on top of the bed (not necessary to remove mattress pad covers).
4.Unplug the coffee pot.
5.Return ALL furniture to its original position.
6.Make sure you leave both sets of condo keys on the kitchen counter & that the key is inside the Lock Box. A $100 loss key fee will be charged if you take the keys with you.
7.Turn off all ceiling fans and lights.
8.Check that all doors and windows are closed and locked.
9.If we find any damaged or missing items, your will be charged accordingly. If the unit requires excessive cleaning, your will be charged accordingly. Your cooperation is appreciated with the above few requests at time of check-out.

We have been Maui, Oahu and Kauai residents for over 20 years and can't decide which location we like the best. Patrick is a Tile Setter and Rebecca manages the vacation rental properties.
