A lovely sunny room in a beautiful house well located for popular East London attractions including the markets, restaurants, bars and shops. A great area to explore with excellent transport links to the rest of the City.
A lovely sunny and peaceful double room overlooking a beautiful secluded garden at the rear of my fully modernised three bedroom Victorian terraced house which is a great base from which to explore London's vibrant East End. My home has had a very stylish makeover with walnut, slate and limestone floors, big windows, high ceilings, lots of art on the walls and open plan lounge, kitchen and dining areas. The room is not huge but has a very comfortable bed, chest of drawers, hanging rail and space for your luggage. I will provide clean towels and bed linen on your arrival.
Should you wish to spend time relaxing at home I have a large screen tv with cable channels, great music system, wi-fi, loads of books and plenty of music on my ipod! Feel free to use the garden which is very private with a table, seating and a patio heater as well as a bbq. There is a well-equipped kitchen should you wish to dine at home with a couple of late night supermarkets just round the corner.
This is a wonderful area to explore with fantastic restaurants, bars, cafes, coffee shops, some of London's best street markets, cool galleries, cinemas, theatres, clubs, live music venues and exclusive and eclectic shops right on the doorstep and a very bohemian mix of old and new residents which all makes the East End such a lively and colourful neighbourhood. Cheap Vietnamese and Turkish restaurants sit side by side with cutting edge designer outlets, fashion bloggers roam the streets and markets searching for the latest hipster look and graffiti artists are constantly adding even more colour to the bustling street scene. London Fields is bbq central in the summer with an Olympic size heated open air lido for those who prefer swimming to sunbathing and the nearby canal is a nice place to stroll or cycle. Broadway Market, one of London's best street markets is on my doorstep and shouldn't be missed on a Saturday while Columbia Road flower market is also a short walk from here, an East End institution on a Sunday morning from where it is a short walk to Brick Lane and Spitalfields Markets with food stalls, fashion and a lot more besides.
Public transport options are numerous and convenient with excellent bus, rail and underground connections and several nearby bike docking stations if you wish to pedal your way across town. Old Street, Liverpool Street and Bethnal Green tube stations are 15 minutes by bus while London Fields, Dalston and Haggerston stations are less than a 10 minute walk away.
You will have access to the entire house except my bedroom and a small single bedroom where I have a lovely lodger who stays three to four nights during the week. In the summer the garden is lovely and secluded and very peaceful with table, chairs and a lounger on the deck

I have a lodger who stays from Monday until either Thursday or Friday. He works locally and is up early in the morning and back late in the evening. He is a lovely guy and you hardly know that he is around
Just a few common sense requests to make sure your stay is a happy one!
> Please let me know your arrival time as soon as possible so that I can either be at home to meet you or arrange for somebody to hold a key for you.
> Please take off your shoes indoors (my walnut floors don't like heels!)
> Please leave all windows shut and secured and the front door locked when you go out.
> If cooking please leave the kitchen as you found it (I have a dishwasher so that shouldn't be a problem!) and please use mats for drinks and hot plates on the dining table
> I don't smoke so the house is no-smoking but you can always use the garden
> I have great neighbours so please respect their desire for peace and quiet - no parties and if you are going to be coming home after midnight just let me know!
> I do not allow guests to invite their friends and family to my home without prior notice
Hi there, I'm Paul and I look forward to introducing you to this great part of London. I have lived here for ten years and I am really lucky to have everything I enjoy close at hand - great restaurants, bars and markets, excellent cinemas, lots of live music venues and a wonderful heated lido for swimming.
