Alessandro's place was spacious, but very, very hot. It was a hot day, but when we arrived (9 pm) no windows were open and the apartment was over 40 degrees Celsius - much cooler outside. The beds are all in a loft area and the apartment is on the second level. Alessandro had been there waiting for us as we had trouble finding it - didn't show up on GPS and it was difficult getting specific instructions from Alessandro - we were coming from Urbino and the street sign for his street only has printing on one side - the side facing traffic not coming from Urbino and the sign was behind some trees that made it not visible coming from the direction we were coming from - so specific directions and a description that someone can follow who does not know the area is very important.
In any case, we were quite bewildered that, given that Alessandro was there, that he didn't open any windows - there were 2 fans and he didn't turn them on. At first we wondered if we would be able to stay in the apartment it was so hot. However, it did cool down with the fans and with the windows open. It was challenging to figure out how to open the skylight window over the bed in the closed off bedroom (no other window) but we eventually figured out how.
