The cozy Living Room is furnished with new memory foam sleeper sofa, HDTV, 12 foot ceilings, original hardwood floors, original mantel and huge pocket doors. The spacious Dining Room has seating for 6. The well-equipped Kitchen has new cabinetry, granite counters, stainless appliances. Down the hall is a stackable washer/dryer, then a newly renovated full Bathroom with tub/shower. The spacious Master Bedroom has a new hotel quality king bed, luxury bedding, big closet and HDTV. Up the winding stairway, you'll find the second full Bathroom with tiled shower. Opposite the bath is a cozy walk-through Queen Bedroom with vintage cast iron bed, followed by an adjoining King Bedroom with hotel-quality king bed. My husband and I divide our time between our townhouse next door and our other home 2 hours away. We have businesses in both cities. On the rare occasion that one of us is not next door, we have a local host. Just text us and we'll answer promptly. Our terrific neighbors know that we are Airbnb hosts and are happy to recommend their favorite spots.

(1) We have terrific neighbors. Please respect that they live on Eighth Street full-time. No loud music, no parties. (2) These houses were built in horse-and-buggy days, so there are very few houses with off-street parking. Everyone parks on the street. Do not park in the loading zone for the business across the street. Anywhere else is fair game. Discourage theft by removing personal items from your vehicle and keeping it locked.

We don't allow children (0-12) because our townhouse has a very tall, winding stairway with rails. We have no children's furniture, no child-lock or safety features.
Guests are asked to do these tasks before departing (which helps prevent ants and mildew and aids in the cleaning process: (1) place all used kitchen and bath linens in hamper (2) load and start dishwasher (3) toss out any prepared foods or perishables (4) place all trash in outdoor receptacle since trash gets picked up in the wee hours on Monday and Thursday mornings. Our cleaning service will do all the rest.
Last but not least, please be aware of the layout of our townhouse. Like most "shotgun doubles" in New Orleans, the house is 12 feet wide but very long. It shares a wall with our other townhouse next door. As is typical in this style of home, the two upstairs bedrooms adjoin, meaning you have to walk through one to get to the other. You can see this layout in the photos and floor plan.
