Inés' home in Estoril is spacious and comfortable! My brother with his young family and I stayed there for three nights last week, but I wish we stayed longer! The lay-out of the breezy apartment is quirky but works, with an open plan kitchen, dining area, which flows into a cosy living room. There are two generous sized bedrooms, one ensuite. There is a second separate "family" bathroom, and a sun room adjacent to the twin room.
The master bedroom is gorgeously decorated, as is the whole apartment, in subdued tasteful colours. The ensuite is a little compact, but again, the finishing second are tasteful and clean. The kitchen is fully equipped with the essentials, and the is even a washing machine. I would perhaps suggest to Inés to get a Moka pot or Nespresso machine, as the coffee maker there has seen better days.
The whole building where the apartment block is located is rather charming, albeit dated. Inés is the perfect hostess as she gives one a lot of privacy or is in contact if one needs any advice or help. Note of advice, the address of the apartment block comes up wrong on (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) maps (URL HIDDEN) is situated closer and just around the corner of Rua Palmeiras, which is perpendicular to Rua Doutor António Martins.
The location is a good 15 minute stroll down to the beachfront, provided you don't have too much to carry or young kids to drag around! There is a whole lot of places to chill and dine, but we mainly feasted along the Estoril beachfront restaurants and Pastelaria Garrett seven minutes from your door ( on foot).
All in all, it has been a pleasurable experience. The rate I booked the place for was very reasonable, and made the holiday a pleasant and affordable. If I'm ever in Estoril again, I know where I'll be staying!
