I’m Paul and together with my wife Caren we run the B&B. Our two children BoJane en Kaj used to have there rooms in this part of the house. Since they found there own place, we could create our own B&B.
Caren is working as a healthcare professional and is, amongst other activities in this field, an ambulance-nurse here in Amsterdam. I studied Sociology on the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam but found my proffesion elsewhere. I'm a pensionado now and I used to work in the entertainment and performing-arts industry. During the eighties I was in charge of the Vondelpark Openair-Theatre (Here nearby and very worth to pay a visit in summertime and ITS FREE ! ) . From the nineties on I worked in the Stadsschouwburg Amsterdam ( Municipal Theatre ) at Leidseplein as a manager in charge of the building and personal. My hobbies are swimming, tennis, biking, photography .I'm a beekeeper and together with other people we try to grow a vineyard.
Caren and I travelled a lot around the world as backpackers and stayed in all kind of places. So we know what is in travellers mind about this. We are having fun now creating a nice place for our quests, making there stay in Amsterdam as enjoyable as can be!
