I had a wonderful experience meeting and talking to Bunleap (who was the point of contact for this trip). He gave me loads of information about the place and surrounding area in advance, and even organised for transport from the airport to the accommodation (on arrival), and he covered the cost of this himself. Throughout the stay, Bunleap was communicative, friendly and helpful.
The place itself is lovely. It is as it appears in the photos, exceptionally clean and everything functions well. The space is basically a studio, with a partial separation between the bedroom area and the kitchen/dining area. The entire area has good lighting and air conditioning (and the air conditioning was not too loud, which helped with sleep). There is a desk containing lots of local information, including local phrases, and it is possible to sit and do work here.
The bedroom area has a large double bed which is very comfy. There are large wardrobes for all of your stuff, and plug sockets either side of the bed. I slept incredibly well here.
The kitchen is well-equipped, with a gas stove, a large fridge-freezer and all other fixtures one would expect. Bunleap left some bread, eggs and bananas for me to cook for breakfast.
The bathroom is pristine, and has a good shower with two different types of showerhead (including an overhead one). Amongst other things, Bunleap provided small and large towels, soap, shampoo/conditioner and even toothbrushes, although I did not use the latter!
The apartment is located within a block of other similar apartments also owned by Bunleap, but rented on a monthly basis. There is a 24 hour guard service at the front of the block and CCTV throughout the lobby and stairway. The block of apartments is at the end of a small lane off one of Siem Reap's main roads and thus there is no noise, day or night. 30 seconds up the lane is a hotel that you can go to in case of a sudden need for a meal, bottles of water, etc., and the hotel also has a pool (although I didn't check whether non-guests could use it). The area feels very safe, and at the end of a lane one can get a Tuk Tuk to the centre - about a 10-15min drive to all of the main parts of the centre of Siem Reap. It also takes only about the same amount of time to get to the airport on your return journey.
All in all this was a really enjoyable stay and the place is suitable for short- or long-term stays, for one or two people, on business or tourism. Thanks for a great stay!
