This apartment is in a quaint and charming "historic Harvard St" neighborhood with brick sidewalks and ivy growing up the sides of the buildings- an exquisite location and wonderful for walking our dogs. The Cambridge Library and its huge lawn are nearby, plus Darwin's (classic coffee shop with excellent food). I couldn't picture where this apt was before we arrived because on a map it seems so close to the hustle and bustle of Mass Ave. It's about a 15 min walk to a subway, if you move quickly, but could be as much as 30 min if you are carrying things. Near plenty of buses along the main arteries of Broadway, or Mass Ave, as well.
Everything was wonderful, clean and comfortable in the apartment although the main bedroom's mattress could use an upgrade and we needed to buy a couple utensils in order to cook. If you are going to be driving in Cambridge, and have local friends, ask around to see if you can borrow a visitor permit because that makes parking much easier for this neighborhood. If you're on foot only, you will really enjoy the scenic neighborhood! Nearest grocery and wine shop is pricey (Broadway Marketplace) so consider stopping at the Cambridge Trader Joe's before you check in.
