Ours is a lovely old fisherman's cottage which sleeps 3 and is set in the heart of the 'Old Town' of Hastings, found up a pedestrian only 'twitten' or alleyway (not on a road). The position is quiet and secluded having a small front southern facing garden and only one minute walk to the Old Town and 5 minutes walk to the beach.
Please see "Other things to note" below for access, directions, drop-off and parking details.

The cottage is one of a terrace of four built about 200 years ago and sleeps 3 people. We have had the cottage for several years and regard it as a bolt hole and peaceful retreat. WiFi is available at the cottage but there is no telephone or television although for guests there is a DVD player with a selection of films.
Throughout I have given the cottage a homely contemporary decor which I hope you will enjoy and feel relaxed in during your stay.
Downstairs consists of a stylish open plan lounge, dining area, kitchen plus a small bathroom ( the bath is a short one so big guys, knees under your chin and a glass of wine!! but there is also a cradle shower).
Upstairs there is one double bedroom which is lovely, with a small dressing room adjoining, and a single bedroom which although small is very sweet and cozy.
Please note that there is a short flight of steep stairs to these upstairs rooms.
I look after the cottage myself so all is kept spotlessly clean and it has been newly decorated throughout.
We have a lovely, tiny courtyard garden at the front of the cottage which catches the sun for the best part of the day. Also very few passers-by so idyllic sitting there in the deckchair with a book.
We hope that you will find the cottage well equipped with everything that you might need. In addition, for your arrival I provide basic foodstuffs plus toiletries and household products for your stay.
We are enthusiastic about Hastings and we hope you will enjoy it as much as we do. Don't forget your cozzie!!

Другие важные подробности
The cottage is situated in a pedestrian only lane ( a "Twitten") with nearest road access 50 yards walk away for loading/unloading only; you are unable to park at the cottage though.
Please note for elderly or infirm people and young children that both the passageway to the cottage and the stairs inside the cottage are steep and so may be unsuitable.
Free parking is available in various roads at the top of the West Hill or Croft Road ( 10 mins walk back down to the cottage). Alternatively, Pay and Display car parking is available in the town car parks.
Follow the A21 to Hastings and as you enter the outskirts turn left on to the A2101 (St Helens Road) into Hastings town, on reaching the seafront turn left at the lights. Follow the seafront along, you will see a boating lake on the right and just past this is a set of traffic lights with a blue and white cafe “The Pelican” on the left, turn left at the lights into the High Street of the Old Town. Drive about 100 metres and turn left by St Clements Church into Croft Road. Follow the road behind the church and after the next sharp left hand bend you will see tall Georgian houses in front of you and a black and white tudor style house on the left hand side, pull up outside this house for unloading (double yellow lines but ok for loading/unloading). You will see a narrow passageway on the upside of this house, go down this to the lamp post at the end and turn left, we are the fourth cottage along with the red gate!
For parking, carry on up Croft Road to the top and either turn left into Collier Road or Priory Road (next one). Find a convenient place to park along these or adjoining roads.
Best way back to the cottage is to go to the end of Collier Road where you will find the parkland overlooking Old Hastings (great views), take the diagonal path and then down the 3 flights of steps to another path, turn left and walk under the building and follow the path down to Croft Road. Turn left and after about 50 metres turn left into Cavendish Place ( a pedestrian passage or “Twitten” in Sussex) which will take you up to the cottage.
Walking from the station:
From the station approach, head straight across into Havelock Road and follow this down to the seafront. Turn left and follow the seafront along for about 500 metres, you will see a boating lake on the right and just past this is a set of traffic lights with a blue and white cafe “The Pelican” on the left, turn left at the lights into the High Street of the Old Town. Walk about 100 metres and turn left by St Clements Church into Croft Road. Follow the road behind and just past the back of the church you will see a passageway on the left called Cavendish Place ( a pedestrian passage or “Twitten” in Sussex), the cottage is about 50 metres up on the right with the red gate!
