The apt is located in the heart of La Habana Vieja– within blocks from the Malecon, the Ballet Nacional, the Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes. This beautiful, spacious, sunny, breezy apt. contains a kitchen, living room, dining room and 1.5 bathrooms. It can accommodate up to four people. Your choice of (a) 2 Queen-bed rooms or (b) 1 room w/ 2 single beds plus 1 room w/ a Queen bed.
"Casa Yemaya" is a sunny, breezy apartment with 3 bedrooms, 1.5 bathrooms, kitchen, living room and dining room. Two bedrooms have queen beds and one has 2 single beds. Even though you will enjoy the entire apt. only the 2 rooms of your choice will be at your disposition. Our rent license has been issued just for two rooms and to accommodate up to four people.
The caretaker's name is Amada. She is responsible for the house and she will help you with anything you need. She will be waiting for you at the apt when you arrive to give you the keys and a tour of the apt. Please ring doorbell #5 at the main door of the building when you arrive. Though a trip to Cuba seems undoubtedly romantic and exciting, you'll need to understand how the island works to get the best out of your visit. Amada the housekeepers and her husband will be there to make your stay delightfully easy and enjoyable, arranging everything for you and helping you out with anything you need and to ensure everything in the house is functioning great. She wants you to get out and explore the city and aside from some breakfasts, you’ll be left alone with a lot of privacy to read, sleep and relax. Please let her know if you want breakfast (no include) or want to have a tour of the city or other part of the Island or go to the beach for a day or rent an old car with driver or cook a Cuban meal for you.

GETTING TO THE HOUSE:
From the airport take a cab to the house. The Address is: Calle Morro # 12 apt. 5 entre Genios y Carcel, Habana Vieja. Tell the driver that “la casa esta detrás de la embajada de España” (the house is located behind the Spanish Embassy). It should cost around 30 cuc depend on your arrival time to Havana. Please take a little time to change some currency at the airport. The currency for tourist in Cuba is called CUC. Ask our housekeeper the closest bank or currency stand exchange to the apt.

In order to not invade your moments of privacy, please let Amada know what time is convenient for you to have her doing her duty. You can use this number to make calls within Cuba. You can receive calls on this phone from anywhere. When people call they should dial: (011 International) (53 Cuba) (7 Havana) (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN)
To make a long distance call:
1. You can call collect. To do so, call the operator (113) to request assistance.
2. You can buy a phone card at any ETECSA booth. There is one around the corner on Genios.
3. You can go to the Hotel Sevilla (see Internet below).
4. Please DO NOT accept collect calls or make any long distance calls from the house line that aren’t collect.
Very few Cuban homes have internet. Enjoy being off the grid! That is the whole point of going to Cuba. That said, this is all rapidly changing. Wifi hotspots dot the city, but they usually require an internet card, which costs $2 an hour, please ask Amada for address and more detail about how the WiFi works in Havana.
EATING & DRINKING:
Water: It is not advisable to drink tap water. Bottled water is strongly suggested. You will find some juice; beer and water in the fridge please see the price before consume them. You can purchase and bring your own drinks if you want; there is a lot a store near the house. If you want to arrange a cook for your stay, let Amada know. Check out binder at the house for some great places to eat.
SHOWER/BATHING/ELECTRICITY: This is CUBA! Water for bathing, toilet and sink come from a container of the roof of each building. Once a day, the water comes from the mainline of the city to ‘refill. Please be mindful of this as you shower. In Cuba there occasionally are black outs. We want you to be comfortable—but also appreciate your understanding that Cuba’s infrastructure is what it is. Electricity is 110 volts.
TOILET: Please do not flush any paper or tampons down the toilet.
Please throw toilet paper, feminine products, etc in the bathroom garbage basket. Please respect the neighbors by not throwing litter, cigarettes, etc out the window.
WINDOWS: Every time you open the windows doors please use the hook that is attached to the frame to keep the windows doors in place otherwise the wind will swing the door constantly.
MEDICATIONS, TOILETRIES. You should bring any medications you take or might need including prescription medications, contact solution, allergy medicine, tampons, etc. It is very hard to find these things sometimes in Cuba. Please bring your own beach towels. Please bring your own soap and shampoo.
EMERGENCY/REPAIR: Please let the Housekeeper if you have questions or need any repairs.
WHEN LEAVING THE HOUSE: Please turn off air conditioner when not in apartment. Please make sure you lock front door and metal gate. Close windows. If you loose your key, please contact housekeeper

Before we get into details, please make sure to read these rules.

10:00 am, unless prior agreement. In case you arrive early we will let you leave your luggage in the house under the housekeeper supervision.
- At the ending of the stay in the apartment, make sure you return the keys to the housekeeper.
- No more than 4 people can stay in the apartment. Underage people not accompanied by their parents are not accepted. The possession and consumption of drugs is strictly forbidden. We do not allow smoking in the rooms.
-The guest will take responsibility of every material damage, either voluntarily made or not. At the arrival to the apartment the guests must register and their information will be given to the immigration authorities due to Cuban law. Only registered people can stay in the apartment.
