A lovely stone cottage nestled privately in the midst of an Umbrian olive grove, yet only a 5 minute walk to a charming medieval village with shops and restaurants.
Suitable for couples and small families.
With heating and air conditioning.
This characteristic Italian house is surrounded by organic olive groves and unspoilt countryside in the heart of Italy, Umbria.
The house is fully equipped and ideal for 2 persons, but can sleep up to 4 and would suit a small family. There is a baby cot and high chair available.
Its open plan design gives it a spacious feel, with a large room that contains the kitchen/dining area and lounge, with access through an open archway to the large master bedroom.
The house benefits from air conditioning to help in the hot summer heat.
Outside there is good space for relaxing and dining in the shade of the grape vines and Wisteria together with fabulous views of the surrounding olive trees and further across to Castiglione Del Lago and Lake Trasimeno.
There is a rich diversity and abundance of flora and fauna which includes interesting birds such as Golden Oriole, Hoopoes, Rollers, and many more. A wide range of beautiful and fascinating insects and invertebrates – many butterflies and moths, Praying Mantis, fireflies, and much more.
From the house are some lovely walks through the olive groves in the woods where you can find Porcupine needles and Boar footprints.
The house is a 5 to10 minute walk from the historic village of Paciano with its shops and restaurants. Paciano is ideally situated with easy access to beautiful and historic places such as Assisi, Siena, Cortona, Montepulciano, and Orvieto - not to mention the great cities Rome and Florence which can easily be reached by train, from the nearby Chiusi Chianciano station.
Please note that during the winter months December, January and February we can only accept stays of minimum 5 nights due to heating costs. The house is heated by an air-to-air heat pump and a wood burning stove.

I do not live there, the house is self contained. I will always be contactable, and have people nearby if needed.
I lived in Italy for 15 years where I worked on the organic olive growths surrounding the house to promote organic farming. I love Italy very much, but life has brought me via Denmark to France, where I am now living with my Danish wife and 3 children. I am interested in wildlife and working on the land as well as travelling and exploring new cultures.
