Te Papa is a fully renovated Victorian terraced house with retained marble and cast iron fireplaces, sculptured ceilings but updated Farrow & Ball colours with Corian work tops, state of art kitchen and monsoon showers. It is a luxury family home every comfort is provided from entertainment system to wifi and induction hob and BBQ near golden sandy beaches. Use as a base to visit or just chill out.
A proud Victorian terrace as been renovated to a very high standard to be available for families to enjoy. No partying groups . Te Papa is spread over four floors including basement which doesn't loose the warmth and intimacy of a working kitchen family area which is the heart of the property. There is a garden with BBQ and outdoor table and chairs. Bear in mind Te Papa doesn't have a lift when considering the property.
Guests access all the propertywith the exception of two or three private locked cupboards. A full entertainment system is provided and guests are encouraged to bring their own consols to connect via HDMI and project onto the chimney breast which is effectiveoy a 72 inch screen.

Hosts like to speak with guests prior to arriva to welcome them to Te Papa - is "our place" in Maori and represents the approach by the owners.
A welcome pack including maps, what to do, how to get around etc is emailed the week before arrival. Hosts usually meet in person to hand over keys and provide a short tour of the property and answer any questions. They are available by phone if required otherwise guests are left to enjoy Te Papa themselves.

In the kitchen there are folders with extensive information on what is on in Ramsate, the neighbouring towns and area . These include recommendations on attractions, dining and events.
Golf course and points of interest are all a short drive away.
Te Papa is a non smoking family home. Whilst it is used for family get togethers and celebrations is not suitable for parties.
Smoking is permitted outside in the garden.
There is one working chimney in the ground floor area which may be used for an open fire. Others are marked "NO FIRE". Use of the fire makes the guest liable for any resulting damage if any.
I am originally from New Zealand arrived in London 30 years ago on a two year working holiday with one of the large auditing companies. I stayed. I still support the "mighty All Blacks" of course but am not fanatical.
I enjoy the outdoors with skiing, cycling and sailing on my list. I enjoy travel which started on my journey to the UK of course.
