What a beautiful, relaxing place! We arrived in the sunshine, and found the Lodge wonderfully prepared for our stay, with essentials in the fridge and in the cupboards, and we felt at home straight away. Bedrooms and living area are really cosy, tidy and clean, full of light from large windows and doors which you can open onto beautiful surrounding views of farmland, and the shower is amazing! Lovely little garden too if you want to sit outside privately.
Sarah gave us clear instructions as to how to get there via text as she wasn't in when we arrived, and then kindly came to welcome us when she got back. She is very friendly and helpful!
There was a huge storm on the second night of our stay which resulted in a power cut. Sarah came in the morning and dropped off two large flasks of hot water for tea/coffee etc, and the shower wasn't really affected so we were fine. The power came back on when we were out that day.
We were visiting family and so didn't do a lot of sightseeing in the area, but Maidstone is worth a visit, and we did go to The Bull Inn pub up the road on Linton Hill one evening - we enjoyed a roaring fire and delicious food for good prices.
We highly recommend staying here in this quiet and pretty little haven with a very kind and considerate host!
