Right across the street from the Mueller development, this house backs up to a creek in a quiet little neighborhood that's only a few miles from downtown. The open, spacious house is only 6 years old and has two decks facing the creek.
I bought this house in 2009 before it was done and finished it with very heavily influence from my sister the architect. I split time between Austin and Houston so this is my home for when I'm in Austin.
There are two decks (upstairs and down) in the back facing Tannehill Creek.
I turned the garage into living space and reoriented the floor plan a bit (1550 sqft). Finishes and appliances are generally higher end. Solar panels went in 2 years ago.
No reviews here yet, but I have over 40 on couchsurfing, mostly as a host. Can provide a link upon request.
The house is technically a condo with just my neighbor and I in the association. There's a shed in the middle that acts as the shared roof (so there are no shared walls). My side of the lot, whole house, and backyard are yours during your stay. But please be mindful that my neighbors on both sides are fairly close, and respect them as you'd like to be respected.

I will be available by phone or email during your stay.

Feel free to order a movie or two through Uverse, but please don't abuse it.
Absolutely NO smoking inside (please remove cigarette butts if you smoke outside) and NO pets allowed.

If coming back to the house after a late night, please be mindful of loud noises as neighbors/houses are in close together.
Please no additional guests are parties other than the guests who are on the reservation.
If it *feels* like you shouldn't be doing something, then please don't. Or at the very least, please check with me first.
Hi, I'm Ryan. Currently live in Houston but grew up and still spend a lot of time in Austin. Traveling is my favorite thing to do (been to somewhere around 50 countries), but my job keeps me close to home most of the time. To satisfy that itch when I can't travel, I regularly host people on couchsurfing. As I don't have any references on airbnb, it might helpful to check out my profile where I have over 40 references:
Other than that, I enjoy meeting people, adventure, fajitas, geopolitics, culture, history, and enjoying others' creativity.
I work for an investment bank, but I'd like to think I'm nothing like the stereotype.
My own travelling usually involves motorcycling somewhere in Europe.
