The guest unit is a locked private 2 bedroom apartment. There are 2 bedrooms with a total of 3 queen beds. The large private bathroom has a deep bathtub and shower. There is a sitting room with a food prep area, tv, sofa bed, pub table and stools.
This is a beautiful old house. We have central air conditioning. But it definitely gets stuffy on really hot days. We have a ceiling fan, oscillating fan and portable ac to help. But if you are sensitive to heat you may want to rent the downstairs unit.
The entrance to the guest unit is up the front steps and to the right. There is a keyless entry and a code will be sent to you prior to arrival. Our door is at the back of the porch.

This apartment is directly above the bedroom downstairs. Please keep noise to a minimum after 10 pm. Large groups, young children and night owls will do better renting the downstairs unit.
We are located in downtown The Dalles. Road noise, pedestrian sounds and trains are par for the course. We are walking distance to pubs and venues that have live music in the evening. City ordinaces require quiet by 11 pm.
Smoking and vaping is not permitted inside or out on this property. No candles, incense or open flames of any kind. LGBTQ and family friendly.
No pets in this unit for the comfort of those with allergies. We welcome dogs in our other unit. Please check out "Spacious Craftsman Apartment Sleeps 6" for our dog friendly accommodations.
The Homeowners are not liable for loss or damage to registered or unregistered guest's vehicles, property, valuables or belongings or injuries while on the property. By accepting the reservation and registered guests are assuming responsibility and risk of harm, damage or theft arising from their use and presence on the property. The registered guests also assume all responsibility and liability of harm, damage and theft for unregistered guests.
No loud noises between the hours of 10 PM and 8 AM. This is an old house and noise travels. When returning late at night please be mindful of noise.
There is no daily house cleaning service. Please contact the owners for additional supplies, if needed.
Leave beds unmade, please remove your food items, place all garbage in appropriate receptacles, rinse dishes and leave your used towels in the laundry bin inside the bathroom. This helps keep the cleaning costs down.
Upon arrival, please note the location of the emergency lights, fire extinguishers, CO2 detector and first aid kit. The home's smoke alarms are wirelessly connected, so if one goes off, they all do. There is a ladder in the master bedroom should it be needed.
Please use the handrails on the stairways.
There are extra heaters in the bedrooms and living area for additional heat. Do not allow any item, clothing, paper, etc. to touch or lay against the heaters.
The homeowners reserve the right to ask any registered or unregistered guest to leave the property of any house rules are not adhered to.
