Nikola is brilliant and her place is fantastic. It's comfortable, in a great location, and very good value for money. The next time I'm in Berlin, this will definitely be my first choice for a place to stay.
Nikola picked me up at the airport. I was anxious as this was my first trip to Berlin and I don;t speak any German. She's a fluent English speaker and a relaxed, helpful person. She asked me about me interests, and both suggested places to visit and showed me how to get there and navigate the public transport system.
The neighbourhood, Wedding, is fantastic. It's multicultural, very safe, easily accessible (the underground station and bus stops are just around the corner), and there are lots of cool places to eat and hang out all around the apartment.
The apartment itself is wonderful. It's cosy, comfortable and very clean. The decor is unique, in a very good way. The kitchen is well equipped. Nikola said I could eat/drink whatever I found in there (sorry Nikola, I ate most of those apples!), which was generous and helpful. The bathroom is small, but I'm a big guy and it was still comfortable for me. The shower is great, with good water pressure. The bed was comfortable.
I got there after a 24 hour long-haul flight, and on my second day was just too jet lagged to get up and go out for half the day, but the apartment was very homely and I was more than happy to just lounge around there until I felt up to exploring.
In short, I travel a lot, and usually use AirBnB. Most of my accomodation experiences have been very good. This was one of the best. And very, very good value for money.
Thanks very much Nikola.
