Tlazala Bed & Breakfast Campirano
We are a family that has owned the property for more than 40 years. We are very enthusiastic to welcome people from all around the world and make you feel at home. Our international environment lets us communicate in different languages like: English, Spanish, German, Swedish, Portuguese and French. We are used to welcoming people from all over the world!
Tlazala B&B is conveniently located 30 km outside Mexico City, on the slopes of the Cruces Mountain Chain. It is near the center of Tlazala, the main town of Isidro Fabela Municipality. We are surrounded by beautiful temperate forests and woods of pines and oaks. Our idea is to make the B&B an opportunity for the people visiting Mexico that want to spend some days off the capital. You will enjoy a good example of the country side of Mexico and have the opportunity to explore some places that just a few people from the city know.
We are sure that you will have a peaceful time during your stay and be able to get a get a good night sleep, though you might get awake by the singing of some birds or the view of the sunrise!
There are five main options to choose where to stay, from camping to the dorm, or from the simple room connecting the greenhouse, to the newest wooden cabin. All the options have toilet and shower available. We provide free internet connection in all the cabins and some garden areas, so that you can stay connected and share your thoughts and images of the place with your relatives and friends. If you need more meals than the breakfast we can organize it for you. We can provide all the alternatives from the 100% vegetarians to 100% omnivorous! For an additional cost we offer you the grill area or our temazcal (traditional sauna) and a jacuzzi facility that you will definitely enjoy!
There are several attractions and things to do while you stay in Tlazala B&B Campirano. We can organize tours for you to hike in the beautiful forests of the area, visit the Otomi Ceremonial Center, buy carpets in Temoaya, taste delicious trouts around the Iturbide dam, and much much more!
Several transportation options can take you here, and they leave from El Toreo, Tlalnepantla or Atizapán. Either directly or with a stop in Villa Nicolás Romero or in Santa Ana Jilotzingo, the trip should not take you more than 1.5 hrs. However, if you are landing at the International Airport of Mexico City, we may be able to organize to pick you up there or somewhere else.
To make a reservation simply give us a call or write an email. Best time to spend some days off in the B&B are on weekends, but we are open to welcome you at any time!
Guests are welcome to walk around the property. We offer a small load of firewood, and invite you to collect more yourself from our little forest, otherwise you can buy extra pieces of firewood ($100 per 12-15 pieces). Temazcal (sauna) and hot tube are available for an extra fee as well ($350 per session, min 2 people) and under previous notice. The grill is available also, just let us know.
Общение с гостями
We normally serve breakfast at our cabin, and when available, we could share other meals together as well.
1) We are friends with the environment, so we kindly ask you to help us separating trash in organic and non-organic (paper, cans, plastic, card and glass waste to deposit it at re-cycling centres). Please, we appreciate you NOT to use styrofoam materials, there is no place to re-cycle them here. Also, we encourage you to re-use your towel and switch off all electronics, lights and heating when not using them. Spoil yourself, not the environment! At Tlazala B&B Campirano part of our incomes will be used to install green technologies to produce energy using the sun and the wind.
2) We support the local community and the environment by acquiring local products, such as honey, blue corn tortillas, fruits and vegetables. We also employ local people and support their families throughout the year. We are involved with the "comuneros" (communal land owners) and primary schools, in different educative projects about environmental protection.
3) We love animals, you are welcome to bring your beloved pet! Please note, however, that we have 3 big dogs and 3 small ones playing around, and it gets very important to introduce the new one to them.
4) Staying options and prices: you can choose among five different options to stay, from camping in our extensive green garden to comfortably sleeping in a private wooden cabin, prices ranging from $15 to $65 USD per night.
