2 good sized double/twin bedrooms.
Belper town centre with shops, restaurants, pubs and a cinema is within walking distance. Easy access to all areas of Derbyshire/Peaks.
Very good WI-FI.
Our 2 double bedroomed, grade 2 listed former chapel makes for a lovely stay in the historic Derbyshire mill town of Belper which has great amenities and transport links to The Derbyshire Peak District.
We have furnished with a mix of vintage and modern pieces and a few cosy touches to make you feel at home. The ground floor is a spacious, open plan space with tall 3m high ceilings that you might expect from an old chapel. The kitchen is very well equipped with a range cooker, microwave and dishwasher and plenty of crockery and utensils. There is also a coffee machine and we provide free tea and coffee.
There are plenty of books, a few games and a smart TV to entertain you during your stay. We also have Wi-Fi with a very good signal.
The open staircase that leads from the rear of the ground floor has a big window that offers great views and there is a galleried landing at the top.
Upstairs the large master bedroom has a super king size bed that can be split into 2 singles (just let us know if you need it making up as single beds). The second bedroom has a comfortable standard size double bed and benefits from views over the surrounding countryside. Both bedrooms are big enough to accommodate an infants travel cot which we can provide on request.
There is a double sofa bed in the living room for which we provide bed linen on request or for bookings of 5 or more.
There is one family bathroom with the shower over the bath. The shower has good pressure and is on a hose so can be lowered for those who don't want to get wash their hair every day!
Outside, there is a small decking area at the front of the house with garden furniture so you will be able to sit outside with your morning coffee or a nice cup of tea and maybe a glass of wine in the evening.
Free on-road parking is directly outside the front of the chapel and there is always space for more than one vehicle within a few metres with no parking restrictions.
If you travel by public transport Belper train Station and the main bus depot are less than a mile away.
We send out further information on local restaurants and places of interest when your booking is confirmed and are always happy to help with any special requests. There are books and maps with plenty of Derbyshire walks in the chapel when you arrive. The Wi-Fi signal s also very good for you to research the area further.
24 hour access is possible and you have exclusive use of the property including the small front garden with decking area which catches the morning sun.

There is also lots of information in the chapel about how to use the heating etc, walking maps and public transport details too. You can contact us any time by phone and/or email should you need any help or information during your stay. Our neighbours are also friendly and will be happy to talk to you about the local area if you bump into them.

Belper is home to Derwent Valley Mills which is now a World Heritage site and the town won a high street award a few years ago. The house is on a hill so the walk back from town is uphill, but there is a circular bus that can drop you right opposite the house if you wish to get the bus back. There is no washing machine at the property but there are launderettes who will provide a pick up and drop off service should you need it. We can also offer a weekly laundry service for longer stays.
We are very happy to welcome young children and infants. Let us know if you need the travel cot.
Strictly no smoking or parties. This is a residential area and noise travels easily to the house next door so we ask that you respect our neighbours and keep late night noise to a minimum. Sorry no pets.

We are a couple from England with 4 grown up children. We love to travel and meet new people and have a particular passion for skiing in the winter months. We recently bought a unique 2 bedroom converted chapel in the lovely Derbyshire town of Belper and after several years of holiday letting in Buxton we are looking forward to welcoming guests to our very old, new holiday let!
