This beautiful, unique and quirky barn conversion is the ideal family base to enjoy South East Cornwall with its traditional villages, sandy beaches, Dartmoor, and the attractions of Plymouth. 30 minutes walk from the vast sandy expanse of Whitsand Bay with golden sands, rugged cliffs and cafés with views; or the lovely fishing villages of Kingsand/Cawsand. Also within easy reach of Mt Edgcumbe Country Park and the Cremyll passenger ferry into Plymouth. With a private back garden and a big untamed garden that you'll have almost exclusive use of, there's also plenty to do without leaving the grounds.
Solar hot water and lots of lovely walks and cycling opportunites so a great location for a low carbon stay!
A few minutes walk to village services such as a local produce greengrocer, Co-op, cosy pubs, excellent fish and chip shop and curry house.
THE BARK STORE has its own garage with plenty of space for bikes, surfboards etc and also a driveway with parking.
Children will delight in feeding the rabbits (Hazel & Scamper) & chickens (Henny and Taylor) and collecting eggs. From the lounge window you can watch resident bats to-ing and fro-ing into the eaves just a few feet from the window. You may well spot deer on the hillside which sometimes come into the garden to feed. The pond has frogs, toads and newts and an eel in the stream.

Access to the property after 3pm and please depart by 11am. We would prefer our guests to be family groups please. Our children are at primary school and we have various toys that will be available if appropriate for you.
The main 1st floor living space has a beautiful maple floor. Please don't wear high heels as it will damage the floor.
Guests are very welcome to feed the chickens but please don't put out too much feed as it could attract rats. A friend will come to look after the chickens & rabbits.
