Originally built in the nineteenth century, this small house is situated in the centre of the hilly countryside of Greendale. Across the road is the Greendale Country Pub and also the local recreation oval and tennis courts.
Greendale is located 5 minutes drive from the Western Freeway. Blackwood is about 10 minutes drive away, Trentham 20 mins and Daylesford 40 mins. These towns are part of the historic central goldfields area. A number of plant nurseries are close by including Blackwood's Garden of St Erth. Greendale can be a busy place on the weekends as it is a popular location for motorcycle riders. The Wombat State Forest lies to the north west of Greendale and the Lerderderg State Forest to its north east. These areas are popular with campers, walkers, trailbike riders, 4wd vehicles and horseriders. Pykes Creek Reservoir is 5
mins drive away and provides a great spot for boating activities. St Annes Winery and The Plough Hotel in Myrniong are also just 5 mins drive away.
Many birds frequent this area and can be watched while sitting on the back porch. They include rosellas, cockatoos, magpies, kookaburras, wrens, yellow robins, and finches.
