Kamdo Guest House is the perfect room for first time travelers and foodies on a budget in Hong Kong. 1. Affordable Chinese food just around Alhambra building. Price range: HKD30 (noodle bowls) to HKD200 (fried crab.) Try Kam Ming Noodles at Reclamation Street or Supreme Beef Brisket at Temple Street. There are a number of food options along Woosung Street from Indian, Western, Szechuan to Cantonese. 2. Shop low-cost bargains at Temple Street & Ladies Market. 3. Five minute walk to Yau Ma Tei MTR and go anywhere using your Octopus Card which you can reload at any 7-11 stores near the building. 4. Airport bus (A21) is walking distance. Just go left from the front entrance of the building and look for A21 bus signage. 5. Friendly staff who speak a little English, but always smile and greet you if you are friendly to them too. Ask for new towels if you need them. They clean the room every afternoon automatically. You can also ask them to clean the room. 6. Cold air conditioner with remote control. 7. Hot shower. 8. Working TV with two English channels (Pearl and CCTV Documentary) 9. Fast Wi-fi, about 20 mbps. Password is on the room telephone. 10. Accurate listing of amenities: hair blower is inside the drawer, no refrigerator, water heater is working, bed has comforter, pillows are thin so bring extra if you want. 11. Value for money. 12. Alhambra Building is old and dirty, but Kamdo Hotel's rooms are clean and secure. They have CCTV cameras, double locks, double doors, and they try their best to have a receptionist at all times. Our room, No. 109, is about 10m² including the private bathroom. This is normal size for Hong Kong for this price range. We first got room No. 110, but we didn't like the layout, so we asked to be moved to room No. 109 and they agreed without any extra charge.
